These socks look lovely. I have them in the dark navy. They are lovely and snuggly and soft. Unfortunately, even after several washes they are still shedding huge amounts of dark fluff everywhere. It looks like black grit all over the carpets, the bed, sofa and other clothes in the drawer. It's weird. Never seen anything like it. I've had to throw them out!

They are very soft, but even after washing they shed everywhere, leaving a pink fluff trail in the carpet. I had to buy a size up as my size (5) was too small, which meant they were very baggy and not a great fit. Shame, as the were very comfy socks.

Love chenille as soft and warm..but don't love it so much that I want to leave a trail of fluff behind me, or encounter patches of it left in every shoe I ever wear with them..so far one ankle boot for 2 hours. How can so much be shaved off a sock and there still be a sock left? Nor do I want feet that look like they haven't been washed for a week after wearing black socks for 2 hours. Massively disappointed with the quality of these as they feel great on the foot, but the debris is still appearing on every carpet in the house. If truth be told, I'm scared to wash for fear of coating everything else. Maybe they're the gift that can't stop giving..but they may be going direct to the bin. Meanwhile the dustbuster is very busy hoovering my boots!

Not great. Lovely and soft but they shed black bits everywhere and unfortunately slip off my feet when I’m wearing my boots. Not a great buy.

The socks are really soft and fluffy and warm and I love the feel of them. However they shed a hug amount of fluff that sticks to skin and falls off on flooring, shoes or boots.

These are Fab , yes there is a bit of fluff comes off when first worn but okay after washed. They are so comfortable and don't look like bed socks Love them

I bought these socks because they felt so cosy, but so disappointed, fluff everywhere, even after washing them by hand. Had to hoover my bedroom every time I used the socks. I was going to throw them out but I think I'll take them back for a refund. Marks & Spencer's need to know the quality is not up to standard.

Just worn my new socks for the first time,pleased they were warm and cosy in my new boots. Walked 2 miles but when I took boots off at home I was horrified at the amount of fluff that had come off these socks. It was everywhere and I had to vacuum the carpet. I've now read reviews of others who say the same. I won't be putting these socks in the bin as I'm taking them back to the shop to demand a refund - what a waste of money.

I LOVE these comfy cosy socks! They just feel so silky and soft. They did leave fluff in my toes on the 1st wear but after a good wash they were fine. My feet did not get too hot and sweaty in them even with my boots on, so they are the perfect boot sock for me. Very good value for money

Really like the ribbed look to these socks, makes them look like certain other Lux lifestyle company that has a colour in their title??!! Left fluff on carpet to begin with, but seem ok now.

Soft socks, great rich black colour and fit however the massive downside is that they moult! When I took my boots off , there was so much black bobbling and a trail of fluff straightaway that I had to vacuum the carpet. This is a massive flaw with the fabric that needs to be addressed asap.

There is something wrong surely in the make up of these socks. Superbly soft. Superbly shred. The shredding goes absolutely everywhere. Avoid.

Like the other reviewers have said the amount of fluff that these socks leave behind is unbelievable. The first time I wore them, I took my boots off at my mum’s house and she ended up having to get the vacuum cleaner out to get rid of the fluff that came off on the carpet. Washed and tumbled dried in the hope it would improve. It hasn’t! A waste of money. Whoever thought chenille socks were a good thing?!
