Velcro for teenagers?

No, I don't recommend this
I have always bought these shirts for my daughter but this year they have arrived with Velcro for a top button. The packaging clearly states that the easy close fastening is up to age 8 so I have no idea why the Velcro would be on the age 13 to 14 shirts? This is unacceptable as no teenager would want Velcro. I will now have to take these back and find some that are more grown up.

Brought these shirts last year but didn’t realise they’ve been updated with a velcro fastening instead of a top button. My 14 year old daughter hates this, really not sure it’s needed for teenagers. I will be returning. Please bring back last years design.

I have always been happy with the quality of M&S uniform but was disappointed with these blouses. My children really disliked the velcro top button which I hadn't realised it had, they thought it was childish and the collar was so loose it didn't fit my daughter's neck at all.

Velcro top button makes this shirt a must have

The slim fit make this masculine styled shirt that much nicer for my daughter. She has to have this style as the school uniform requires a tie and the Velcro top button allow her to be able to be independent in dressing herself. It’s a great quality fabric and well made shirt but still requires ironing.

I always buy shirts and trousers from M&S for my three children's school uniform. I was extremely dissapointed with the fitting of these shirts, they looked so baggy around the body but small on the armholes, making my daughter feel and look ridiculous. Such a pity as it looks like they have changed the design and in comparison to lasts years ones are a terrible design. I have sent back and bought from a another supplier.
