These trousers are very practical as they are pull up- no fiddly buttons or zips. A good quality material and they also look very smart.

Very nice school trousers

I bought a size 29" waist for my 15 year old daughter who is around 5' 5" and the length is perfect. We had to take the waist in 7 holes on each side but this makes them just right. I would say they are true to size as my daughter is probably around 28" in the waist.

School trousers

Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)

No, I don't recommend this

My daughter has these trousers every year & was disappointed with the style change. The trousers have no zip with a false front & 'stretch' on from the back. As she is slim, her trousers feel like they're slipping off at the back when she sits down. Shame - they keep their quality for a long time - they are washed every week but can still be passed down.

Great idea, questionable cut

Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)

No, I don't recommend this

The idea of easy dressing was a great attraction, however, the cut of these trousers was nothing short of disappointing . The seat area is much too short, not even hipster like. Returned - please M&S do the same easy dressing but change the seat cut as it’s much too short for girls (suspect it would be for boys too).

These shirts are for easy wear but the Velcro fasteners in not strong enough for a child with special needs, needs to be wider and a littler stronger fastener also 3/4 length sleeves are easier to wear. I would buy them if these changes are made Mrs Adams is

Dissapointed with these trousers. The waist is quite low fitting and despite the ajustable waist they keep falling down on my daughter. She was not impressed and neither am I!

Weird waist design

Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)

No, I don't recommend this

Purchased these last year and they had an adjustable waist with button elastic through the back. This years style however is the weirdest I’ve ever seen. They have soft stitched elastic around the back against the skin plus a button elastic threaded through the front of the waistband. So any adjustment you do gathers the front up. Looks so weird on and bulks up the front. The back can’t be adjusted and is very soft elastic that doesn’t maintain its gathers and falls down. When she tried them on, she kept trying to pull the back up because it doesn’t hold the fit. All ideal if the trouser fits perfectly without adjusting and expands the back elastic, but who’s child needing pull up trousers will find that fits. Not mine unfortunately. I’m so disappointed.

Slim Fit Slim Leg pull up trousers

Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)

Yes, I recommend this

I ordered both the 6-7 and 7-8 sizes. They were labelled SLIM FIT (although it says regular fit on the website) on trouser labels found inside the pockets and tags and SLIM LEG on the packaging. They are a twin pack and are packed so you have to cut them apart to be able to try them on. I think they are more of a straight leg than a Slim leg personally. My daughter is averaged sized 120 cm child and I did not find the fit too big or too small on the 6-7 years one. Inside leg is 54cm. The back of the waist band is elasticated and cannot be adjusted. The front has an elastic with adjustable buttons. There are no fiddly zips, buttons or buckles are are just pull up which is what I wanted, My child doesn't have much hips or bottom so I did not find they pulled down when she sat down or stood up. I will be ordering more as I thought they were great value for money. (We also have the skinny leg twin pack but they have a zip fly and buttons, but did like the slimmer leg on those. They are also labelled slim fit, although described on the website as regular fit. So SLIM FIT SKINNY LEG)

Not very girly and sizing is not good

Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)

No, I don't recommend this

Bought in size 5-6 for my daughter which should have been a good fit for her as that’s the size she is in other brands, but these are too long and too big on the waist even when adjusted. I also think these look more like boys trousers than girls ones... Feel like good quality though.

Girl's easy dressing trousers

Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)

No, I don't recommend this

Not the most stylish of trouser for a young girl - although I've bought plenty of school uniform from M&S and am usually very pleased with it, I find these trousers cut to be less than desired. However they are indeed easy to pull on and dress, so I suppose that is the compromise you pay...

These trousers were really shiny where they had been ironed, also double creases front and back. So disappointed with M&S thought they were better than that

ordered these for my daughter ready for september - within 4 days of wearing them there is a hole that has appeared in the hem - as previous reviewer said the waist slips down a lot and you are having to pull them up a lot - adjusting the elastic doesnt resolve the problem - very disappointed in these as expected better from m&s

Legs are too long

Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)

Yes, I recommend this

Have struggled to find trousers that my LO can wear. Its great that the trousers are a pull on (whilst not scrimping on quality, style and value) and allow children the independence of being able to dress themselves. These are great trousers, but they are too long in the leg. Now that I know this, its no big deal to buy one size smaller that what we need.

Not what I ordered?

Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)

No, I don't recommend this

Ordered regular fit..arrived as slim fit. If there’s any way to make my 11 yr old daughter feel even more self conscious it’s by sending trousers that are not what they are described as. And as for actually separating the 2 pairs to check sizing, you need 2 pairs of hands & scissors galore. Returned to store.

The fact that they are a pull on is an extra advantage to the usual quality and value. Daughter is very sporty and a quick change is essential in her eyes.

Comfy, easy to pull-on trousers

Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)

Yes, I recommend this

I really like these trousers. As there are no buttons or zips my daughter is able to put them on herself. The elastic looks comfy. Only problem is that the waist is too low, they need pulling up quite a bit and as my daughter doesn’t sit still they easily slip down.

Not as described

Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)

Even the 9-10 yr trousers were too large for my nearly 11yr old daughter. Descriptions says waist is adjustable, but there was no sign of adjustment and elastic was too big as supplied. Returned - disappointed.
