A good weight and well made, solid coat. The colours in the coat changed with the light, ranging from greys through to a definite blue. I returned as my grandson felt the patterning and colouration of the coat too much and preferred a plain black. The sleeves were also too short for his 6’3” frame.

This was a little more blue than grey in person than it was in the photos, but I don’t think that can be helped based on lighting. It’s really warm and fits true to size. Would recommend!

Climate change, the inexorable advance of the puffa jacket/coat/other contemporary outerwear, and better heated transport have pushed overcoats from winter centre-stage. This stylishly cut blue houndstooth overcoat more than redresses the balance, and is a welcome addition to any wardrobe. If you want an overcoat which gets away from the traditional look, and pairs as well with jeans as with more formal attire, this is for you. It is also terrific value. It does come up large to size. I take a 42 tailored jacket, but the Large swamped me and the Medium is just fine even with a suit jacket underneath.
