On the whole we like the lamp and it is a good height as so many we'd looked at were too short for what we wanted. Only snag is that it would be better if the pole was one piece of wood, instead of 3 pieces which screw together. The middle section on ours doesn't align perfectly and has some natural defects in the wood grain.

There were small indents on the shaft probably due to the hardness of the packing and the softness of the wood which is a pity as we love the lamp !

I'd bought the wooden table lamp and waited patiently until the wooden floor lamp came back into stock then immediately ordered. The shade might be very slightly lighter than on the table lamp but, as they are opposite sides of the room, that is immaterial. It is of very good quality and looks extremely classy. And it didn't take too long to assemble. Very pleased with my purchase.
