This lamp is very good quality. Nicely turned smooth beech wood, integral wiring. Easy to put together. The lamp shade is textured and gives a good balance of ambient lighting. Very pleased with it. The turning on the wood is traditional without being old fashioned. Really looks great in the corner with a beech rocking chair.

Pleased with this lamp, sturdy and well made. Shade compliments a range of colour schemes. I don’t like lamps to be too bright, so I went for a low wattage bulb. Overall very happy with my purchase

On the whole we like the lamp and it is a good height as so many we'd looked at were too short for what we wanted. Only snag is that it would be better if the pole was one piece of wood, instead of 3 pieces which screw together. The middle section on ours doesn't align perfectly and has some natural defects in the wood grain.

There were small indents on the shaft probably due to the hardness of the packing and the softness of the wood which is a pity as we love the lamp !
