Sizing off
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
Sizing off. Came up much bigger than usual. I am a size 5.5 so I sized down half a size and the 5 still was too big so returned and sized down again with a 4.5 and a 4 to compare but unfortunately the 4 went out of stock after purchase so I didn’t get to try it. The 4.5 is still big despite being a full size smaller than my actual size, I think maybe the 4 would have been better if I had got to try it. I kept the 4.5 but have put insoles in. The shoe itself is comfortable and looks nice - however, the burgundy colour is darker than picture - looks more black in indoor lighting but I don’t have an issue with that.

Not impressed with quality, very plastic looking in addition the material shoe is made from has an awful chemical smell. I will be returning them.

Sizing is a problem

Sized Down i am half a 5 and got 4.5. It’s an awkward fit- fits fine until you srart walking and its like a flip flop. Too wide and definitely not right sizing on these

Very heavy and size 3 is far too big. No longer can I buy 2.5 unfortunately.

Come up large

Came up large - both in length and width. I typically take a 6, including in M&S shoes but these were far too big and were subsequently hard to wear as kept slipping off. Tried with double socks and insoles and still the same:

I ordered these in Buttermilk (not patent - I didn't want patent). I was disappointed as they were too wide so I returned them. Very good style though.

These penny loafers are great quality and I have been able to use them when dressing casually (jeans) and smartly (trousers). Such a good depth if colour, I bought the burgundy. Very comfortable to wear.

Lovely shoes but not for me
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
I have RA and my feet are quite wide and swollen across the top of my foot. So got wide fit. Great except the heel is too wide and I can’t keep them on. Tried heel grips but still too sloppy at the heel. Would return but taken the tags off now, and stuck in heel grips. What a shame they’re great shoes otherwise, I know I’d have worn them a lot.

Good quality shoe. I personally had to buy an insole as they kept slipping off.

Love these for work. Remind me of going to school in the 90s. Not the most comfortable but for a budget shoe they are a great design and fit

Lovely looking shoes great value. I have to say they’re a bit on the hard side will try to break them in and hopefully soften a bit . Otherwise going charity shop .
