Ugh! so dissapointed

Terrible fit. This is the fourth pair of boots that have been one size too big. I consider myself true to size, but the sizing is way out in left field. I cannot afford to buy any more Shoes/Boots [ The return shipping is so costly-I live abroad-] I would be scared that I would be purchasing yet another set of "Clown shoes" M&S really need to look at their product quality.

Stylish lace up boot

A lovely comfortable boot. Well made and having the imitation fur top to it finishes it off nicely to wear over skinny jeans. The boot fits me perfectly and has a good soft inside but supportive at the same time. The sole is of a good thickness, you can't feel every crack in the pavement when walking along. I am tempted to buy a second pair as I'm so pleased with them.

I don't have wide feet, but as other reviewers have said these aren't very wide. I've gone down half a size and put in insoles which makes them a good comfortable fit. Good stylish boots which I plan to wear to work all winter.

My new favourite boots-had to go down in heel size after a knee op but these are perfect as they aren't flat. Great quality leather. No rubbing or blisters. Love the look & the fleecy cuff & makes a nice change to have lace ups instead of zips. Highly recommended.

I was undecided between a 3.5 and 4 but decided on the 4 as they felt comfortable and I have room to wear a thicker sock .

I wanted some boots that I could wear walking around all day & not have sore feet. The small heel is perfect, the wide fit ideal & I can wear them all day with no problems. Love them.

Bonus buy

Bought them online using bonus from Sparks Card. When I picked them up they were in a large box which I did not want to carry round so the first opportunity I put them on and crossed my fingers. No need to cross the fingers, they were extremely comfortable from the word go and I thoroughly enjoyed wearing them. The only complaint is that the weather has turned sunny again so I cannot wear them. Bring on the cold weather!!

New shopping boots!

I wanted a pair of boots that were stylish, not entirely flat but suitable for wearing for long periods on your feet such as day long shopping trips. These ticked the box plus got thumbs up from my daughter (in her early twenties) who has been known to make me return items to shops because they're frumpy!! Look well on with both jeggings and dresses. I felt they were true to size, I am a standard size 5. Got 20% off original price so for boots think that's good value. Imagine when winter comes into full force they'll be nice and warm too.

Not so wide fit boots!

Boots supposed to be wide fit, but they are really quite narrow both across the widest part of the ball of the foot and around the ankle. Usually buy M&S wide fit boots size 6 without a problem - but not these - would need a 6.5 or 7 for better width, but then may be too long in length. Laces can't be pulled in tightly to fasten boots neatly as not enough leather to go around ankle - resulting in unsightly very wide criss-cross of laces at front. Hence I wouldn't recommend them to anyone needing wide fit boots. Colour more reddish-brown rather than dark brown. Good quality leather and warmth from Thinsulate are advantages.

Nice boots, but in some ways disappointing

These are nice comfy boots, lovely and wide, though the toe shape is perhaps not the best given that they are meant for those with wide feet, and could have been made to both fit better and look more stylish. They are beautifully soft yet secure around the ankle. If you are normally a size 6, be aware that the size 6s are much bigger than the 5.5s and you may need to size down. My only other concern is that the soles seem very thin, which doesn't bode well for durability, compromises the comfort to a certain extent and makes me question the value for money.

I have wanted a pair of lace up boots for a while and so was delighted to see them on M&S website in a wide fit. They are very comfortable, my heel fits snug in the back of the boot heel and the lacing up is easy. They are very lightweight so can run for the train! All in all very happy with the price, got them 20% off, service and quality.

These boots are fabulous comfy, like gloves for your feet. Bought them in brown...wanted to immediately buy black but they had sold out, any chance of a restock M&S?

My most comfortable boots, with padding & good ankle support -I can walk in them all day. Nice & warm (with Thinsulate) but can be a bit too warm indoors. Lovely leather, very nice colour (chocolate). Although they are 'hiker' boots they are not too chunky & look smart with skinny jeans. I like them so much I have bought 2 pairs!

Loved these boots from the moment I saw them on the website. I have a very small foot (size 3) but unfortunately wide so Footglove are the only make I can buy. These fit perfectly width and length. Not only are they good to wear with jeans but look good with leggings too. Love them.

Sensible Boots at a good price.

I love this style of lace-up boots for winter. I usually buy them from another well known, sensible shoe store as M&S don't usually carry this style. So when I saw these in the Footglove range (and without the dreaded insolia!) I bought both colours. I love the Footglove range for the comfort, and these don't disappoint; they fit well (just a wee bit of extra room in the toe but this is useful if you wear thick socks) and they are soft and flexible. They are quite plain at the front (could do with a bit of a brogue look or stitched toe detail) but they look neat with trousers. I can imagine the plain, smooth top will get creased quite easily as the leather is soft, but they should last the winter, which, for the money will be good value.
