A beautiful, luxurious shade to add a touch of class and elegance to a room. It's a piece of artwork for the ceiling, or if you're using it on a lamp, it would be just as stunning. You need to position it in a particular way, as it is plain across about a quarter of it.

Value for money as purchased in sale. Would have liked more distinctive floral in the shade. Happy with purchase.

There appears to be an intentional 'flaw' in the pattern placement in that the large, pale flowers do not cover the whole shade. Part of the shade is patterned with dark, painterly smudges which are actually quite lovely, but makes the shade seem like a fusion of two different designs, depending on which side you can see. Also, on some of the shades the seam is right in the middle, vertically, of the large flowers, so spoils the line. I ordered three and the seam is in a different place on each one. As it happens, the ceilings where I needed to hang all three are in different areas of a room that wraps round and also goes up one storey. So although I needed the same shade in each area as they all share the same overall colour scheme, it did not matter that they were not all exactly the same as each other. I did need to hide the seam from view and I was able to do this by having the seam on two of the shades facing a wall. The seam that is visible on the third shade is, thankfully, in the part of the pattern that is dark and painterly, so not as obvious because it is also better lined up in the pattern. I kept and used all three because I was able to hang them in a way that minimises the seam visibility issue and also because I really like the colours and the soft-focus finish of the design, which works well with my decor. The velvet is nice too. Finally, I bought them at half price, so was happy to find a way to make them work in the space. I have only given 3 stars because, whilst the issue with the two-tone pattern is simply a question of whether or not you like it, the issue with the seam is, in my opinion, a poor quality control issue. I would therefore not have paid full price for the shade. M&S are right to reduce the price.

I am absolutely delighted with this shade. The floral decoration is all over the shade and is eye catching. Matches well with mycolour scheme.

Love this velvet shade, perfectly matches the M and S bedding. I had to order four to get two as two had strange lines on them and had to return as wasn't happy with them but that aside happy now I have one for my ceiling pendant and one for my lamp base. Just need to improve quality control before sending out to customers.

Beautiful shade. Lovely quality. Colours are beautiful and rich.

Has a luxurious impression. Deep colours which display elegance. Velvety feel. My only disappointment is the pattern does not cover whole shade which means from one aspect it is very plain
