My new favourite skirt

I felt good in this skirt, it’s dressy enough without being over the top and made a nice change from my usual trousers or jeans. It looks a lot better on than on the coat hanger. I love the asymmetrical hemline and the gathering and of course the pattern, which makes this skirt stand out from an everyday work skirt. I wore it with a cream fine knit jumper, but it would look equally nice with a fitted black top. I would recommend this skirt, very happy with my purchase.

I ordered the regular and long but even the regular nearly came to my ankles. I am only 5 2 but have purchased the pleated skirts in regular and they were OK. Maybe because this is more winter stock ? I have friend who is 5 9 and it looked lovely on her Grrrr !!

This is a lovely skirt - great material and style. Looks super with a fitted black top or a slouchy jumper. Will get a lot of wear out of this skirt and was great value for money. Well done M&S.

Frumpy skirt

No, I don't recommend this
This skirt is the wrong length, would be better if it were 15cm longer with the shaped hem or 15cm shorter with a straight hem. It was purchased for a 24 year old and just looked frumpy. The fabric looked a bit darker in real life, a lightweight chiffon print with black flocking, not really velvet, but nice. The lining is almost full length so very modest, but does not give the opportunity to show the outer fabric to its full. Feels like a skirt designed by committee, lots of good elements, but they don't really work together in the final garment.

Disappointing skirt

Saw this in store but wasn’t sure, I wanted a velvet skirt so thought I would give it a try. Length was good , but the pleated detail at the front was to full so made it look frumpy. Material thin and poor quality for an expensive skirt. Returned to store.

I love this skirt so much! It is so comfy and easy to wear. I wanted my skirt high waisted so I did buy a size smaller than normal. I have had lots of compliments everytime I wear this, people are shocked when I say M&S. Well done M&S.

Bought a size 14 but think I need a 12...will decide what to do...however, the description on this page says it has a side zip but I think it the zip is in the back of the skirt...also the description gives an inside leg measurement...come on M & S - this is a skirt ...!! But it is a nice addition and would look very smart with a wide belt over a jumper and equally smart with boots or high heels.

Feels really lovely, comfortable and soft. Good quality, layered fabrics. Love the flattering and unusual asymmetric style with gathering to one side. True to size.
