Waist disproportionally small - shame

Lovely soft denim in a nice soft blue colour BUT as many reviews say, disproportionately small waist for size. Really stupid design fault. Grow the waist 2" on every size!

The jeans are a lovely shape and the fabric is soft but I couldn’t do the buttons up so sadly had to return.

This is my second pair I've bought as they are such a lovely fit and hand well. Great for people like myself who don't have the thinnest of legs but do have a small waist and therefore struggle to get jeans and trousers to fit at the waist.

Lovely on trend jeans but

These jeans are lovely and right on trend. However, the sizing is appalling it is trial and error as to what size you might be. I am a standard size 10 which fitted perfectly except for the waist which was ridiculously small. Having tried several pairs in a size 10 and 12, I finally settle on a 12 though they were a little big on the bottom and thighs but they seemed to be the best fit. Just got to hope they don’t stretch! If the sizing was correct I would have scored five stars

Sadly not true to size on waist.
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
Sadly I sadly have just returned them via Hermes as they were too small on the waist & despite me having other M & S trousers in the size. I do now know that buying ankle grazers come at the right length for me, your new lengths are far too long.

These jeans are super comfy and so stylish! They would easily be way more money if from another retailer. I’m now waiting for the other colour to come back in stock!

Good Style

Really happy with these jeans, good fit, comfortable soft fabric and great style. I had bought a similar pair of jeans from another retailer at more than double the cost to compare but the M&S came out top.

Great for stoma users
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
I have a stoma, and have been wearing cotton cargo trousers all summer. However I needed proper jeans for winter, and was delighted to find these pleat front, high waist ones. They come up to above the stoma bag, with plenty of room in the pleat for bag expansion (fellow users know what I'm talking about). Comfortable, practical for winter and look good too. I'm really pleased with them.

Just about ok...

I loved the photographs of these jeans online so took the plunge. The fabric is nice, good quality and yes, quite thick. The fabric is rigid, so no stretch if you're used to getting a smaller size. Check your waist measurement before ordering! The size 18 has a 37 inch waist, usually I get a 16 in M&S jeans, but the 18 fits perfectly. Despite that, the shape is a little bit 'meh', so I think you have to have long slim legs and minimal hips and tummy to pull these off. The hem is very narrow and they taper down from being quite wide on the thigh. The Regular length, which is what I usually get in M&S trousers, is a bit long for me and I've done a bit of experimenting, and I think that if I take these up by another inch, they'll look a bit more 'now' and less 1980's throwback.

Bad fit button hole not well sewn

Button fastening impossible to open and close. Material not at all nice, too lightweight.

I really like these jeans, they fit well and hang nicely but i did find they got baggier throughout a day of wearing them, especially around the knees and bum. but they're still cool and very comfy.

Stiff heavy denim. Unable to do them up even though I bought my usual size 16. Very short zip.

I have kept these jeans as it is so rare to find anything from M&S that fits and is the right length. However I dislike the frayed hems and waistband. I don't want my clothes to look worn out so will probably only wear these around the house. The fabric is quite nice but the jeans bag at the knees when sitting and they seem expensive for the quality.

Sizing issues

I bought these jeans, but was so disappointed in sizing. The main trouser fitted beautifully, until I came to do up the waist button, and it wouldn't meet the button hole, at least 2 inches short! Please M&S sort your sizings out. This is not the first item with this issue, as other jeans have fitted well. I'm size 18. Needless to say, returned.
