This is a really stylish dress, lovely colour, print and material. Looks great teamed with opaque tights and knee high suede boots. The slits add great movement & make the dress a little bit different. Have had lots of compliments when I have worn it. I am going to buy another dress in this style. Well done M&S

It’s a smart but stylish dress with two slits in the front that are just the right length. It’s super comfy and looks great for winter with tights or boots. I’m thrilled with how m&s clothing style has progressed! My whole wardrobe is now m&s

Bought two of these dresses in different patterns. Even tried on the black design one but it looked very dark and dull compared to this and the red/gold which are gorgeous. I find the fit & length perfect for me because as an ‘older lady’ I prefer the maxi length.i love them and would highly recommend them.

Interesting but not for me

I had great hopes for this dress, but I'm afraid my husband's face said it all when I tried it on, so definitely not for me I'm afraid. Perhaps it would look better on a taller person but it swamped my 5'3"height. I would have been prepared to shorten it if it had looked good, but as it didn't, it had to go back. I like the sleeves, and they fitted perfectly!

Another lovely dress (I also bought the floral polka dot). This one is a perfect fit, and the style is wonderful. I've worn it to work and also for casual, and it gets compliments so it's a dress that works for me. I'm delighted.

The online photo does not do this dress justice. I bought this for a recent wedding and I loved it! So comfortable to wear all day. I'm only 5'2'' and don't usually wear long dresses but I felt very feminine in this long length. Usually long sleeves are way to long for me but as these are elasticated at the cuffs they are perfect. Also I stay clear of elasticated waists but for some reason it just works on this dress and is very comfortable and flattering. It really is worth giving this dress a go, the colour is lovely, would love it in navy too.

I liked the colour and pattern and the style but unfortunately the material was to me too thin for an autumn winter dress and the skirt seemed see through against light. The waist was probably about 4 inches above my waist line even though I bought the longer length so the dress seemed to be an empire line dress .

Dress Is a bit longer than I would normally wear - Have decided to keep it and have it shortened as I liked the dress. My normal size was tight around bust so bought bigger size. Generally, not enough styles in petite fit. I often fail to buy items because of this.

Loved the style and for price material was ok.( bought it with 20% off). Unfortunately the colour was not for me so returned it. Would have exchanged it for the Per Una flower patterned one but felt everyone would know where it came from, sorry, and that is not a look I want.

My wife has been searching for a long time for such a well made and perfect length that suits her particular style and taste. It goes great with the blazer purchased at same time and make a great outfit for a variety of occasions.

Well, it may be a midi for a lanky model, but on us lesser mortals it's almost a maxi. I'm only 5ft 4in., so it was returned.

Nice Shirt Dress But Odd Fit

This is my second M&S waisted midi shirt dress, my other one is the black and red one, this one is a dark red in the same fabric and style. The fabric is a bit stiff and this dress cut oddly on the sleeves where they feel a little tight from the shoulders yet not tight in the sleeve or anywhere else, I don’t have broad shoulders so I feel the cut is the issue here. Having said that the shirt style is really nice, the waist ruching is quite wide and this dress feels looser at the front top half than the back. It has two splits at the front of the skirt as the buttons stop at the waist. I’ve added a wide black belt with mine as I’m not sure how I feel about the ruching. I’m size 20 with a waist long gone, so the belt makes it look smarter, especially with black heeled knee high boots. The sleeves have wide ruching at the wrists which look great, these dresses remind me of dresses I wore in the early 80’s, the material though stiff doesn’t crease easily so will wear well. I don’t have any long sleeve dresses so these are great for colder weather, they look good with a blazer or even a warm gilet. Good value with 20% off promotion.

This is a really nice style dress which fitted lovely. However, I returned it as the colour didn't suit me. I would love to see this dress in our colours and perhaps a lined version or in heavier fabric for the winter.

I ordered this dress in a size 12 but had to exchange it for a size 10 which fits perfectly. I love the elasticated waist which is so neat. I think I will find the dress very useful and even with the size 10, I can fit a vest or t-shirt underneath which will be handy in cold weather.
