Nice fabric and style, well made, smart and comfortable to wear. I just had to shorten them. I have only worn them a couple of times as I am confined to my home.

Good basic everyday trousers. I was a little unsure about the back elasticated waist, not something I would usually wear, but they look okay with a jumper or untucked top.

If it's a staple, why is it so diificult to find?

Both my mother and I like the formality of a fly front, but need the ease of a partly elasticated waist. You call this design a staple of the wardrobe, but every year it is a struggle to find the current version. Please keep it in stock.

These are the best fitting trouser i have found in a long time, purchased the navy in store, length is good, the part elasticated waist allows a bit of give but still sits nicely, the fabric is a bit thin but got in the sale so happy with price, managed to get the black online so very pleased.

Lovely soft material and comfortable fit, with a heavenly high waistband. Love the zip on the side pockets too. I must like them, as I’ve bought 2 black and 2 navy pairs, while I can get them.

They fit well, but the fabric was dreadfully creased, which may have been with being parcelled up, but I didn't take any chances, they could have been worse than ever when washed, sadly I returned them

I much prefer a zipper pocket like this as it doesn’t stick out at the sides...I haven’t washed them yet but happy so far.

I bought 18 medium a while back. I had to let them down, Although still a bit short. This time I bought 18 long these are definitely on the long side. All my trousers are m and s, and I always buy a .medium but in this style they were way too short.

I like the material and the zipped pockets. Not sure whether to keep them as they are a bit of a funny fit at the top of the leg. Also a wee bit short in the leg. Probably look nice with black sandals but they are not meant to be ankle grazers.

I really didn’t like the feel of the fabric and so never even tried them on. In fact I didn’t get them out of the bag once I had felt them. That’s the problem with buying on line but sometimes there isn’t an option.

Have bought these (or like) for years, size 14 short for work as the elastic in the waistband makes it comfortable to sit in. Not anymore....14 now too small and 16 too big??? Disappointing

When I first tried these trousers on I was delighted, they were the right length, fitted me well and looked good. However, I wore them to work today and after half an hour they were driving me crazy. Every time I moved the press stud fastening came undone. These trousers are totally impractical unless you have a job that requires you to stay perfectly still for hours on end. I think I have just wasted my money as I can't wear them again. I am extremely disappointed and can't believe all the good reviews they have. Maybe I have a faulty pair. I think I should return them as they are definitely not fit for purpose.

Best work trouser I have purchased, the length was just spot on - I had to have the 12 Long being 5 ft 8 ", regular too short. So comfortable and look really nice, straight leg but perfect amount of room for my slightly large calves! Would definitely buy again.

I ordered black trousers by mistake so they went straight back . The navy blue trousers I also ordered are a perfect fit, good length and nice material. They arrived very creased no protective bag and had obviously been a returned item .I had to iron them prior to wearing them as they looked as if they had been thrown in the bag . I have kept them as they fit me well

I tried several pairs of trousers-all short length- this was the only pair that were the right length for me. All the others were 2 or 3 inches longer. How can there be such a difference? I had to have these trousers or nothing! Having said that, I do like them, and have bought another pair.
