This is a very pretty coat, but very see-through. It also just has the waterproof layer on it without any warmth. So yes it is good for a quick rain shower but no good for a walk in stormy weather; unless you have a very thick jumper underneath. Its great for the age ranges that you have but i think the Price was a little steep for what you get.
