Good quality single wardrobe

Yes, I recommend this
Very happy with the Sonoma single wardrobe bought along with 2 bedside tables and a console table to furnish a home office/spare bedroom. This is a nicely designed good quality range. The wardrobe feels very solid with a pre-assembled base with the drawer on soft close runners. The wardrobe section is flat pack and uses some sturdy dowel and cam fittings to assemble. Self assembly is a 2 person job as it is quite heavy and the top section needs to be assembled before lifting onto the base. The door and back panel are then added. Door hinges have a good range of adjustment to get the door closing perfectly without any catching. As long as the wardrobe is level (and there are levelling wedges included to place under the feet) and the door hinges are correctly adjusted it will soft close nicely. The side panels are thick oak veneer on a chipboard core but feels very sturdy, once the back panel is screwed into place it feels perfectly solid as well . Overall, a really nice quality piece of furniture for a very reasonable price.

Incredibly disappointed.

No, I don't recommend this
We bought this to go match some Sonoma furniture that we bought a few years ago. The craftsmanship does not begin to compare. No dove tail joints (as in previous furniture. Very cheap bases to the drawers. Back of wardrobe very cheap and flimsy. What has happened to your standards M&S? They have certainly fallen in my estimation. Also door does not fit properly.

Got this with the 20% discount offer to match existing double wardrobe. Despite the latter being 5 years old now the colour match is excellent. Expensive without the discount hence average value for money. Delivery and assembly first class service.

Stylish item of furniture giving reasonable storage capacity despite being a single wardrobe. I bought in the sale to match existing bedroom furniture but not sure if at full price it gives value for money.

Disappointed - not as described

No, I don't recommend this
Firstly, the website shows the door open at 90 degrees. However, the door will not stay open at 90 degrees but springs back to approximately 60 degrees making it awkward when using the wardrobe. Secondly, the description describes both the door and drawer as soft-close. However, the door will not close without force. When I enquired by phone about these inconsistencies, I was informed that the door is not soft-close (even though the website says it is and the hinges appear to have a soft-close mechanism) and that there is nothing that can be done to rectify either problem.
