Tested in a heavy shower with no umbrella and it let no wet in. Lovely colours, fits well, nice length. Bag is on the back under the flap. Undo zip and Pull out the bag with the loop. Lay coat on its back, zip up the front of the coat. Start folding coat inwards to the width of the bag. Then fold coat upwards and hood downwards to a smaller size. Then proceed to place coat in bag. I should say proceed to shove coat in bag. There it's in, and it isn't creased when it comes out.

When I purchased this mac I felt really happy. The design was lovely, very comfortable and it kept me dry as well. I actually found it really easy to fold it up into a pouch and it also makes a good holiday add on without much room required.

I had been given a gift card for my birthday and was delighted when I saw this in my local store. This multicoloured mac was so much nicer than all of the others and really stood out, I think the different coloured zip was an inspired idea. I wore it on a trip away and my sister bought one as well. (I made sure she would not wear it when I was wearing mine!). Not tested in the rain but wouldn't wear it when heavy rain was expected

A lovely Mac, very colourful and material was nice. The Mac fitted well in the body and length was good. Unfortunately the arms were too short for me! I have had this a lot with M&S jackets/coats that I’ve tried.

GREAT LITTLE MAC

This Mac is great, lovely colours, easy to pack in the little bag, although it took me twice trying to master it, trick is to zip it up first, turn the bag inside out, ( it has a little tag ) fold the jacket neatly into the size of the bag and just side it in, may take a try or two, great for holidays as its light weight and easy to put into a handbag.

This is going to be very useful, especially on holiday as it packs away so small. It will brighten up a dull rainy day.

Very Disappointed

No, I don't recommend this
I ordered two of these macs, one 'large' and one 'extra large'. I usually wear a size 14-16 so wasn't sure and wanted to make sure I could wear over a thick jumper. The 'Extra Large' was massive and the 'Large' was more like a 'Small' or possibly 'Medium' Both have to be returned .......... with the matching umbrella. What a shame, I really liked this useful light weight pack-a-mac.

I purchased the 'tropical' design and the medium pink. Really like both. Bright and cheerful and so much better than awful dull black, brown, beige etc. These are modern and stylish. I ordered my usual size and the next size up as these days it's not possible to be sure that garment sizings will be the same. My usual size in Summer weight coats and jackets is 18/20 and the 20 is fine. Probably may not get a thick top or cardigan underneath, but no problem. After all, these macs are designed for warmer weather/light showers. I wish this jacket was also available in a bright green or purple as well. Unable to give 5* as the instructions for folding the jacket into the attached bag are, in my opinion, poorly written and virtually useless. After several attempts to do so, I'd almost given up, was becoming very frustrated and annoyed and intended to ask for assistance in local store; assuming and hoping that the assistants would know how to do it. Another reviewer had talked about a zip (not mentioned on the instruction card). I was then able, albeit still with some difficultly to fold the jacket into the bag. Someone else said it is quite bulky and I agree. I wont bother anymore as it will be easier to fold loosely into a small plastic or cloth bag. It would be better if the bag was clipped to the inside of the jacket and therefore easily removed as required. I haven't worn either jacket yet so can't comment on whether or not they are showerproof. Although I got 20% off, I would have gladly paid full price. I would recommend, but with the proviso that folding into the bag may initially be difficult.

Suitable for a growing bump!

I love the packaway coat - I needed a summer rain coat to accommodate a growing bump (bought when I was 29 weeks, now 32 weeks pregnant) and this is brilliant as it has the elastic on the waist line to pull in or pull out. I haven't extended the elastic to its max yet so should keep me going up until due date and postpartum over the summer. I bought my usually size when not pregnant and it has ample room. I just think it's a little bit expensive for what it is but I love the patten and there's a kids version available too. I bought one for my 3 year old daughter and she loves heres, especially that she matches her mum!

Loved this as soon as I saw it. So light and easy to wear, great for me colour wise as it goes well with black and blue jeans which I wear all the time. Doesn't crease either. Super for when it's a chilly morning and you don't need a big coat or jacket. Haven't tried to pack it away yet that test will come on my holidays. Sure it can't be that difficult.

Bright and colourful mac. Easy to pack into your handbag. Not bulky and you wont be caught out when it rains. Find the hood a bonus especially if you have forgotten your umbrella. Well done M & S.

I am very pleased with this pack a mac the colours are lovely. I was nearly put off by one review that said it was impossible to fold flat into the back pocket. I managed it on my second try. As a tip you need to fold as described on the label and insert the bottom part of the mac first, smooth down and then insert the hood end and voila it's done. I haven't worn it yet so can't comment on how showerproof it is.

Reading the other reviews I wasn't too sure about buying this but took the plunge. It's perfect. Showerproof but not yet tested as rainproof. Great fit and length, just above the knee, I'm only 5 foot. Medium was just right for me as I'm between 12 and 14. Bit pricey but I got a 20% discount for my birthday.

I haven’t actually tried this mac yet it was my sister who recommended it. She bought one last year and said it was really good to have. It folds up and doesn’t crease when unfolded and is very rain proof. I wanted something I could put in my bag when away or out shopping in case it rained. Love the design. It’s ideal for the warmer weather when you don’t want to carry a heavy rain coat.

Lovely choice of colours. Very disappointed to hear that it might not be showerproof. So far has puzzled half a dozen people how to pack it away. I will have to bring it back for a demonstration if I am going to keep it.

I wanted a shower proof, pack away, attractive mac and this suits the purpose. I like the lined hood which gives it the edge on quality, also the zip back pocket which means it folds away easily. Not tested shower proofing yet !!! Size 14 at M & S usually fits me so no surprises there. It fitted perfectly. Colours true to picture on line. Glad I ordered on line as Eastbourne shop did not have one.
