I read the reviews of various control type garments and never having worn one I thought I would feel very restricted in this one, but I didn't. Some reviews said it made no difference and others sang its praises. I am a 14 and chose 12/14 size. Stepped into it and got it adjusted and it made a real difference under a knitted dress, smoothed lumps and bumps. That is the important bit for me but just as important was it felt quite comfortable - which was very surprising. I will certainly recommend it to others.

I don't often wear support underwear as I find it uncomfortable. This was perfect, so much better than support pants, really smoothed out the bumpy bits so my dress hung really nicely. It looks a bit strange but it really works. Have already recommended to friends.

Having read the reviews I thought this would make a difference to the appearance of a dress I was going to wear. On me no such luck. Did nothing to improve my shape.

I bought this to help control my unsightly lumps under a dress. It has a nice feel to it and has enough control to pull me in. You wear your own bra and the straps are a good length to allow this.i found it easier to step into this and pull it up rather than over the head and down. It certainly holds me in and stops my dress clinging to me in the wrong places. It washes well and was a reasonable price for what it does.

Fabric is not so glossy and rather thick but the thing is short and I am 161 cm so just like a top hardly covering thights. Would go for black if stock was avalable.

Potentially this was the answer to all my problems of finding a one piece shaping garment because, of the others I have tried, it has been impossible to find something that fitted my hips (which aren't huge) without being enormous on the bust. So it seemed a good idea to try this and wear my own bra. It is a bit of a weird look but once I worked out that the shoulder straps had to be completely let out to stop the slip squashing my bust upwards and inwards, it is acceptable but not amazing. During trying on and walking around in various dresses, the slip does at least seem to stay where it should be although there is some restriction on movement. I'll keep it but hopefully something better will present itself before the wedding I am shopping for.

Not sure how this has scored so highly...

I'm a generous size 12 and usually wear a 14 for comfort. I bought both sizes to try on, the 12 to 14 and 16 to 18. Neither did anything. I guess it's not meant to work miracles but it didn't hold me in at all and I couldn't tell a difference between when I was wearing it under a dress and when I wasn't. I've now got the firm control one which is way better. I love the design of being under bust etc but it just felt like an extra layer to me rather than providing any control to my stomach or hips.

I love this slip, it keeps everything under control without stopping you breathe. Bought it in nude, now also in black. Great confidence giver when wearing dresses.

I wasn't sure about purchasing this slip but wanted something to smooth the lumps and bumps without squishing them into new places! This does the trick. I wore it with some thin seam free M & S pants and one of my usual bras. I expected it to start rolling up once I moved about but it was pretty good at staying put. I would definitely recommend if you need to smooth things out under any dress, I have worn this with a fairly fitted work dress and a floaty one.

Comfortable to wear and didn’t ride up. Bought for a wedding, I usually buy 18, but due to recent back spasm I bought next size up, as didn’t want to struggle getting it on. Loved it. It’s not too tight so as uncomfortable but just gives that support and made my dress soooooo much better. Happy customer

I bought this item a few years ago in black and wanted to buy another in neutral colour, sadly then sizing has clearly changed. This was was tiny... alas it had to be returned

Wanted something to smooth out lumps and bumps under dresses in the summer when not wearing tights. I'm not sure I'd agree this is medium control as it didn't seem to do much other than around the bottom hem where it cut into my thighs creating an uncomfortable and unsightly line. May be good if you have slim firm legs but no good at all for me.

I love the idea that I can wear my usual bra and the straps give extra support and pull in my full bra shape. It fitted well and was very comfortable.

I bought this post partum to help with my pregnancy lumps and bumps! I’m about a size 10 so purchased size 8-10 as I wanted it tight and it definitely does the trick. It smooths everything, including my belly, and makes me feel more confident wearing dresses. Very happy with it and it was a great price too.
