This skirt is exactly what I'd hoped for when I ordered it. The colour is a gorgeous dark pomegranate - nicer in person than on the website photograph. It falls well and moves nicely. Looks great with boots in winter and I think it'll transition well to summer, really versatile and I'm very happy with it. So I did order both a size 12 and a size 10 (I'm normally a 12 but M&S sizes run large) - I kept the 10 since I preferred it to sit high-waisted. The waist band is a little narrow, but I might just take the flare in a little at the top to make it sit more comfortably. The 12 was cut a little better so this might be an issue with the individual item.

I’d been looking at this skirt for a while (after I saw Kat Farmer try it on) and when it went into the sale I grabbed it quickly. I’m a 12-14 and got this in a 12. The colour (blue) is fabulous- slightly darker than it appears on screen. Looking forward to wearing it with a black roll neck. This autumn’s ranges across womenswear have been much improved on previous years and are getting back to the M&S we know and love.

Tempted by the sale and the asymmetrical style.. I bought the skirt in the deep pinky red. The fabric is a good weight and hangs well once I figured out how to wear it... (used the label and hanging loops as a guide) I'm 5'3" so I chose the shorter length and it looks equally good with boots or shoes. Am now thinking about buying the cobalt blue

Great fit and style but quality of material was not as good as expected. Easily creased. Lovely colour

What a gorgeous skirt .... the quality is fab some satin material can be quite flimsy ...not so with this skirt . I chose to go for long as I am only five foot three , I find the longer length looks better.

Had to reorder from size 16 to size 12 to get correct fitting. Don't think that I've lost that much weight, probably I am a true size 14. Lovely flow to the skirt, very pleased

I love the fabric and bought in both colours ... great value with 20%off. The red one was an impulse buy as I was attracted to the fabric and design, I liked it once at home so ordered the cobalt blue It’s a lovely rich tone...very happy with both I bought the regular as I’m short and I feel comfortable in the style. I think they are both pretty festive but also I can wear them at other times. Welcome additions to my wardrobe.

Beautiful colour (cobalt) and material. I can’t work out quite which way it’s supposed to go - if I go by the label and hanging loops, it has a big old seam down the front. I’d also agree with the review that points out that you can’t really tell it’s asymmetric. I’ve kept it for the colour and fabric, but I may yet regret it - I keep swivelling it and still can’t make sense of it.

I saw this skirt on Instagram - Doesmybumlook40. I thought it looked nice so I ordered it. I am 5'6" and ordered the long and it is perfect. True to size and I got so many comments. I also bought the Chevron top in the blue as well and wore with my navy cowboy boots!! I am a 12/14 and 50 years old.

So disappointed this beautiful skirt didn't fit , loved the material and colour was stunning, but hem was not 'asymmetrical' enough, it just looked lopsided as if hem was unevenly taken up. So I might have got bigger size if hem was better. Great pity as price seemed reasonable for the quality of material and style!

I ordered in the blue and was instantly in love with the colour when it arrived - a lovely rich bright blue. The fabric is good quality - not clingy and static like a lot of other satin skirts I have tried. I ordered with the blue sparkle polo neck top after seeing another review - looks great with it. It would also look lovely with a jumper. Unfortunately I had to return as there was a bit too much fabric for my size and shape - I am a curvy hour glass and only 5'2" so for my shape a straighter cut would have been more flattering. I returned it only because of that reason - gutted though as it really is lovely.

I need to keep away from Instagram and the MandS insiders because I want everything they're wearing. Patrycja wore this skirt in pink with a grey jumper and belt and I was sold. The skirt is gorgeous: a stunning pink, in a satin-finish fabric with a dipped hem. Fashion is so versatile these days as you can dress just about anything up or down, and this is no exception. I am now looking at that gorgeous, gorgeous cobalt blue.....

Hangs beautifully and looks really flattering. The Cobalt is the most gorgeous rich blue. Classy enough for evening wear but can also team with a smart jumper or shirt and wear to the office. Word of advice; unless you're tall, go for the Reular length. I am 5' 2" and almost always wear M&S Long length skirts. But in this case the Regular length looked much better on me than the Long.

I bought the deep red colour in long. I am tall and this is a great longer length on me. It doesn’t seem so dramatically asymmetric on me as it looks in the photo. So far I have worn with high heeled boots and a sweater in a similar shade, also from M&S and received a ‘wow’ from the first person who saw it. I’m so pleased with it I have just placed an order for the cobalt colour too.
