Terrible quality, tore in half

Fabric very flimsy, sizing way out, rides up, stitching means that that material rips easily. Tore in half in first wearing. utterly appalling quality for the price.

Buy all my work wear in M&S, this dress looked ideal. Ordered online in sale, price was very good. Dress itself is the strangest item i've bought in a long time. The fit is bananas! Its tight on the arm but it is bat wing, when you raise you arms the entire dress goes up. Not at all flattering. I will be taking it back.

I didn't like this dress. The material felt cheap and the zip didn't work well. It kept sticking. The belt was flimsy. It's not for me. It was expensive, but not up to Autograph's usual quality, I'm afraid. I usually find that range excellent. Not this time.

the best feature of this dress is the lightness which makes it very easy to wear wash and travel with. the dress looks good on me and I like the sleeve length and overall look - not too long.

Lovely dress but too long for me (petite). Bought another dress from M&S and decided to go with that as it fitted better and was lined.

The design of the sleeves makes this dress uncomfortable to wear. The belt doesn't fit properly, it doesn't stay straight. I have sent it back .

I loved this dress. The fit was a good fit and true to size. I did have to pin the bust area as it did not sit well. Length and fabric good. The belt was a poor fit too flimsy but buckle made it look expensive.

I so wanted to like this dress but...

I read the other reviews before buying this dress so knew that the fabric was quite thin and that didn't bother me (it reminded me of dress fabric used for many Cos dresses). I could have lived with the non-stiffened belt (although at this price I would expect better quality). I loved the overall style and I found it to be very flattering when on HOWEVER, the sleeves are low-cut in a bat-wing style (not that clear from the photos) so when you move your arms, especially raising them at all, the whole dress moves up including the neck and waistline/belt and this is made worse by the fact that there is no give in the fabric. I found I was constantly pulling the dress back down into place. Basically you can't move your arms in this dress! A pretty basic design flaw I would say. Such a pity.

Having seen the dress on line,I liked the simplicity of it. However. I am a size 10 and 5ft 2inches. The dress was clearly made for someone with a much longer body than mine ! I was very disappointed, but should not have been surprised. Marks ans Spencer Do not considere femails under 5ft 4in. In any range.

I was looking forward to receiving this dress as I thought I was something really different but when it arrived it was badly creased, the material fell cheap and the style was not what I thought it would be. Returned, not something I usually do with M&S goods.

I was very disappointed with this dress as I felt it was extremely overpriced at £69 and particularly did not like the "soft" belt which would have made the dress look like a sack tied up in the middle. The buckle was fine but the belt fabric had no stiffening whatsoever to hold in place around the waist therefore proving useless as a belt!

Really lovely soft fine cotton fabric but the fit is no good: it is tighter than it looks from the waist down: not so much A line as pencil. I ordered a 14 - can’t go up a size as the top is quite loose. Such a shame - style looked great but had to return. Perhaps fine if you are larger on top and slim hips.

I was really disappointed with this dress. The quality of the fabric was poor and the sizing was really out. Unlike other reviewers I found it far too big, especially the top part. I liked the sleeves as the elasticated fit gave a slightly puffed look which was quite flattering. The belt buckle was a nice detail and colour although sat uncomfortably and kept riding up. I thought this was far too pricey for what it was. The cotton was very thin and the dress should have been lined, especially the skirt section as it was quite inappropriately see-through! Returned without a second thought.
