Pure Cotton Striped Beach Trousers

After reading previous reviews I downsized from a 12 to a 10. These were still a bit loose so I reordered a size 8. Perfect- I’ve got them for cruise holiday and they don’t crease much either. The material is very soft and easy to wear. I would agree with other customers they can be worn as casual pants with a dress up top. Very pleased.

The only disappointment I have is that it's the beginning of May and no sizes left in a 14 and couldn't order, so had to buy a size 12 which are a little tight so will be sent back. This means that other items from your beach range will also be returned :-( I would def of recommended a friend, but cannot, as you o longer have any.

I really wanted to like these trousers and they weren’t too bad quite a stylish fabric. I know this isn’t haute couture but there are some details that put me off, the pair I received weren’t pattern matched and so in the front where your eye is drawn too they were very unsymmetrical giving the appearance of an arrow pointing! Also the rise is quite shallow and beach trousers should have more fabric in that area so that they hang properly and no pockets.

Really happy with these trousers they are really good material great fit and not see through you could even wear them out on a warm summers evening with a nice top would be nice if you did more trousers like this in different colours very nice.

I purchased this for holiday as they looked like they were lightweight which they were. Unfortunately, they were far too long and didn't look right, so these were returned.

The material is thin but then they are described as beach trousers & will feel cool in the heat!! I wouldn't say the material is see through & the material is lovely & soft. I think I will wear these lots in the Summer & not just on the beach. Size wise I'm normally a size 10 or 12 & ordered size 12 as I don't like a tight waist band & they are a perfect fit, not loose & so comfy. I am 5' 5" and the length is perfect on me. I'm hoping M & S will soon be selling these trousers in lighter colours for the Summer.

Loved these having seen them online, and ordered them tentatively after reading previous reviews! However, I love them and they will be perfect for my holiday in April. They are very thin- and undoubtably slightly see through, however these are advertised as beach trousers and not anything else! They are light and cool. Super comfortable with a wide shirred waistband. My only two negatives are: 1) these are quite short and have no hem to turn down. A long option would have been better than assuming everyone is short.... I am 5ft 8 and I’ve no doubt when I wear them and they crease, they will look too short on me! Lucky for me I will probably get away with a 3/4 look and flats! 2) no pockets. All in all- I recommend these trousers, as long as you want them for what they were designed to be- super casual, lightweight pool/ beach trousers for a relaxed look.

They don't look like much close-up and seem over-priced; I'm no seamstress but even I could see there's minimal workmanship in the throwing together of these. But put them on and they are super comfortable, very cool and surprisingly look quite chic. I expected to wear them just as a beach-bar item but ended up wearing them in the evenings very gratefully in very high temperatures and humidity. Although thin, they're not see-through. I should add, though, that I found the matching top extremely unflattering so it went straight back. For me, a white or cream simple vest top looked much better. The trousers are designed to be loose, of course, so are probably true to size or perhaps a little big. Length-wise, they reached just above the ankle on me at 5'10.
