Pure Cotton Printed Scoop Neck Maxi Beach Dress

I had high hopes for this dress but so disappointed! There was so much material that it swamped me and I looked like one of those knitted dolly toilet roll covers! Honestly M&S, what is it with making these dresses with about 3 yards too much material? Unless you are tall with a figure like a supermodel it's difficult to carry off. Please use less material so that we don't have to worry about being caught in a breeze and taking off!

I bought this beach dress alomng with the co-ordinating bikini. It looks brilliant on, truly unique pattern. Very flattering and swirly. I bought a size smaller than I usually do (10) because it was out of stock in a 12. But it fitted anyway. Also bought long length (I am 5'6") and it skimmed the floor. Fabric was light cotton, the usual quality you would expect from M&S. Also great value for money. I wore it every day of my holiday.

I wanted something long, light and elegant to wear on a hot day. The fabric is cotton lawn and the drape is easy to wear. Not disappointed.

Haven't bought a maxi dress for years...but loved the look of this, especially the colours & pattern & the fact it's cotton. Really loved wearing it recently on holiday in Thailand. It was so comfortable & easy to wear. Pleased I got the 12 petites am not tall - 161 height. The back tie keeps it place around the top part.

The colours in this dress make it very rich looking the fabric is soft and light, there is a really nice green swimming suit that goes with it but the cheeky bum didn’t suit me . Ordered petite, perfect length for 5 foot 2 frame.

Love this. It is oversized and a little see through but I bought to wear postpartum in the heatwave and it’s been perfect; stick leggings and a sports bra underneath and I inexplicably look pulled together! The starfish at the end of the back straps are a lovely touch. Lightweight, flowy, breathable and comfortable.

Cool & elegant. Can be worn as beach cover wear/evening, or dressed up to wear evenings anytime. Maybe change the look and add a belt.. I'm 5'1 & the 6 petite fitted perfectly.

This is a nice fine cotton fabric. As described it is a beach dress and a bit too flimsy for other wear. I had hoped to wear it over the matching swimwear but that didn’t fit so I have sent the dress back.

Bought for a beach holiday in Spain but it’s so beautiful that I plan on layering it up through autumn too. Lots of fabric, great length and very flattering.
