Directly referencing the uniform of Henley rowers, this shirt features a rich indigo wash and signature crew neck. Updated to include sleek corozo button fastenings, tonal stitch detailing and M&S’s heritage logo on the hem.
First worn as underwear in the 19th century, the Henley shirt developed into sportswear due to its ventilated collar, becoming the uniform of Henley Royal Regatta rowers. In the 1970s, the Henley was introduced to mainstream culture through popular fashion lines.

It's a good bold colour and fine cotton. One reservation is the washing instruction, 40 plus two bars. My washing machine (bought this year) doesn't offer this setting, so the Grandad Shirt goes in at 40 cotton. Time will tell.

Bought this cotton Henley T-Shirt for my husband who only likes Grandad T shirts. He is very happy with it but it could have been a slightly longer length for regular. It washes up well. Particularly like the indigo colour. Good value for money. The material is a bit thinner than I would have expected in winter. Please M&S realise that your captive audience is the older generation (born in the 1950's), please bear this in mind when designing clothing and more Grandad shirts please for summer.

Really nice Henley top. The indigo blue is great. I bought medium and it fits a treat on my 40” chest. Important to realise that indigo is a colour that bleeds in wear and wash. That said it just keeps getting better as it fades.
