Very light and comfortable to wear. Loose smock styling is not my usual choice but I have put on a few lock-down pounds and it hides a multitude of sins! Front view is very nice - not so keen on the side view but that's more my fault than the dress. Not washed yet so can't comment. Only comment to M&S - what is it with not anchor-stitching the neck facings on garments any more?

Lovely bright spring/summer dress. Good quality as you would expect from m@s . Nice collar detail that makes it a bit different than other summer dresses which is quite nice.

Very pretty and girly recommend

Very pleasantly surprised by this little number, so pretty and floaty light to wear with a slight 1940s feel. Being 5ft it reached just above my knee which is fine for me but it would have also been nice longer. The neck shaping is ironed in so be interesting to see how it sits after washing. Liked the fit under the bust as it didn't cling or cut in giving a slimmer look. Hope it needs minimal ironing, I didn't notice it crushing and wore it on VE day which was sunny and breezy and went for a long walk on a seafront and then sat for a meal. I wore it with pale tights as it wasn't quite bare legs weather for me, and it looked fine with low heeled pumps, or would be nice with sandals. Could also be worn with a jacket or cadi but watch the length at the back if you are taller as it did tend to raise up a bit. All in all a great addition to a spring/summer wardrobe.

I bought this in a Petite size as I'm only 5ft 1in. It was far too short for a lady of my age so unfortunately I had to return it. If it had been a couple of inches longer then I would have kept it as it's very pretty and a nice fit, although the neckline is rather low.

Dress comes up big - I am usually 12/14, size 10 was still quite big. The 3/4 sleeves were too long for me. The join in the dress was neither waist or empire line, made me look very wide. The whole thing slipped back from the shoulders - as you can see from the model - the neck is low when in proper place and showed my bra. Had to return. Not worth nearly £40.

I love the pattern and colour of this dress, its fresh and bright for spring. I don't buy petite because of my height but because I am very narrow in the shoulders and top. I bought a size 10, but it is definitely on the big side, and I am going to return it for a size 8. It will be perfect with white trainers and a nice brown bag. Can't wait to wear it!

This dress comes in regular and petite which is a real bonus if you are short like me (I’m 5ft) so the petite was a perfect fit and length for me, just above the knee.I love the pretty floral fabric and it doesn’t crease so is perfect for holidays too. I love the style which isn’t too fitted around the waist like so many MandS dresses at the moment. I sometimes need to go up to a size 10 for a petite dress but this fits really well in a size 8. Please make more of these in other colours!

Lovely dress, very pretty and comfortable to wear but sadly just a bit short for me and as am not keen on revealing my pasty legs in the summer, I sent it back. If it had just come to my knees I would have kept it. Just for info, I am 5'2" and had a size 6. I did try it on wearing black opaque tights but it looked a bit odd as it really is a summer dress.

The only complaint I have about this dress is the size of it. I usually take a size 10/12 but in this dress it's a size 6 but apart from that it's a lovely dress and can't wait for the better weather to wear it. I hope Marks bring out more in different colours

I love the design of this dress, it fits really well and is very flattering. It doesn’t cling but creates a lovely feminine outline. The fabric is floaty but substantial enough not be be see-through. I often have to pay more for petite clothes but this is great value.
