As this was petite I checked reviews and saw that the recommendations were to buy a size larger than usual. I did this but although the top fit well on the bust it was too big then on the waist / ribs. Just wasn't for me so had to return it.

I tried the same shirt size 12 in the regular, it fitted fine but the width over the bust in Petite is smaller. The 14 is fine and on me I prefer the shorter length as I am five foot. Please M&S take more account of the shorter laddies who also have curves.

Pleased with purchase. It does what it says on the tin: it is a comfortable easy to wear white shirt. It would work in an office or for school wear. I want it to wear casually with jeans. It does that too. Have changed the buttons to a pale blue colour to give it a more laid back look. I like the fact that it is more of a fitted style and doesn’t flap about all over the place. Can be worn open over a T-shirt. Has washed well and needed minimum ironing
