I purchased this table when it was on offer, making it extremely attractive against similar products. It’s arrived this morning and having read the reviews here re cracks faults etc I made a thorough check before the delivery men left. Nothing to complain about, lovely soft wood look. Very heavy and substantial too. Not the beauty of oak, admittedly, but at this price, I’m quite happy with my purchase.

I ordered this and 6 chairs as a wedding gift . It arrived damaged with cracks in the paintwork on the legs and a very large crack in the frame underneath the table top. It and the chairs have been returned for a refund. As a longstanding and loyal customer of M&S I am deeply disappointed in the quality of the product. It is not what I expect from the M&S brand

Waited weeks to get this table and took day off work for it to arrive only to find it has a couple splits in the wood on table top and looks like they have been filled with wood glue so a deliberate attempt to hide the splits which was very disappointing. After care service has been good, new table ordered but again I have to wait and take another day off work to receive it and to be honest I am not absolutely confident of there quality control and I just hope its a perfect table when it arrives. They did say they would put a gift card out to me so I will see if that arrives. .

The table is nice and sturdy and of good quality. It was delivered very quickly and we received regular updates on its progress beforehand from M&S . It arrived very well packaged and the delivery men unpacked, assembled the table and took away all the packaging. They also gave us a demonstration on how to use the extension leaf which is very straightforward and well designed. The Padstow design gives a very nice light and contemporary look ito our dining room. Very happy with our purchase and great value with 20% off

I spent a considerable amount of time trying to find a dinning table... so I'm speaking from experience! I wanted something that felt classic but still stylish. I also have wooden floors, so ideally wanted something that wouldn't clash (the putty legs break up the wood perfectly!). I also wanted something that could be extended. Although our dining space could fit an 8 seater comfortably - it seems frivolous when often it is only 2 of us dining! This is the perfect combination, a good 6 seater (that doesn't have the ugly joins some extending tables have). It extends securely to an 8 seater, and we've even managed to squeeze 10 around when required. All in all.... a great table!
