I needed a smart jacket to take me to any occasion feeling confident in my appearance. This is just that - I like the fabric very much - a nice weight and texture - not at all shiny. Love the lining material too. Wish the jacket came in more colours like burgundy or bottle green. I am sure this will be a standby staple in my wardrobe for quite some time. Always good to know you have a decent dress up or down piece.

Bought this blazer in a size 8, looks absolutely sexy smart with a sequin mini skirt underneath, or day time smart look with grey skinny jeans and a linen vest underneath, quality of the material is very nice, quite a thick material so very nice to wear in these chilly months, I had a lot of compliments a bout this blazer so well done M and S very pleased with my purchase.

I’ve been searching for a longer length jacket for a while. This is the best I’ve found so far. The construction is good; just wish it could be available in other colours (dark blue/ maroon / dark plum maybe?) I’ve worn it as a smart jacket for work and as a casual jacket with jeans. Looks good either way. It has a generous cut - the clue’s in the title really! - so you could wear it with a blouse or a sweater. I just wish it had an inside pocket!! So few women’s coats/jackets have them, but they’re really useful for phones, etc.

I was very disappointed with both the single and double breasted blazers - why doesn’t the women’s tailoring have the same quality as the men’s. Some years ago I had an M&S wool blazer - wish I could find something like it now

I kept this blazer in my usual size. It is oversized but from the front it’s not totally shapeless. I had reservations about the fabric, it being mostly polyester, but it still looks good quality. I’m tall and it is still a generous length. I’ve worn it a lot already.

Needed a black jacket that was longer in the body, so many jackets stop right on the hip line or higher. Arrived and I don’t really know if I like it. My first impression is that I t’s too butch, big and boxy. I kept it and have worn it on a few occasions however, I don’t think I’ll keep it for long, wish I had returned it.

The quality was really good, very smart, but sadly had to go back to shop, I was not tall enough to wear this blazer, 5' 2" needed it to be shorter.

I ordered this online as it was longer than some of the other blazer style jackets. It is advertised as oversized so you could get away with a size smaller - I'm between sizes really so ordered the smaller of the two sizes and it fits my broad shoulders and back perfectly. The fabric is good quality but M & S should offer matching pieces for the jacket. The trousers I ordered with it are a completely different shade of black.

I've just received this.....had to re-order a size smaller as my original normal size was a tad on the large side. (Well, it is advertised as an "oversized" jacket so not surprised!) It really is a lovely blazer and I'm impressed with the quality......fully lined and lovely material. Hangs well.

Underwhelmed!

I have never been disappointed before with any jacket purchased from M&S, so I was totally unprepared for how awful this one looked. It felt bulky and ugly; no fluidity of line and it reminded me of the paper cut out clothes we used to put on dolls.Once placed they remained rigid. I returned this £79 blazer and tried on another version in the store. On taking it to the till I found out that this perfect replacement was priced at £45. My Lucky, lucky day!
