The tog rating refers to the effectiveness of the duvet to retain heat – the higher the tog, the warmer you will be when you're snuggled beneath it. A 2.5 Tog duvet is perfect for the summer months when the weather is at it's hottest.

Bought to replace a 1 tog duvet which was stiff and heavy. This one is very lightweight and fluffy and surprisingly cosy - warmer than an M&S 4.5 tog I bought fairly recently. Design evidently improving all the time.

I've had a 4.5 tog duvet for a while but even that tended to be too warm as we have a warm house. This seems to be a better compromise. Quite expensive - there are cheaper out there - but as I was ordering other stuff it was convenient.
