Longline Wax Look Coat

I loved the coat when I first saw it in the store at Hereford. When I got home I tried it on again and experienced few problems with the zip but eventually was able to close it properly. This occurs from time to time so maybe the zip should be looked at again. The coat keeps you warm but unfortunately is not shower or water proof which I found out when taking my dog for a walk, I go soaked through and it took ages for the coat to dry out completely. I wish that Mark and Spencer had made it very clear that the wax long coat was not suitable in wet conditions as I live in West Devon and rain is often present during my daily walks! I was going to buy the same coat in navy but decided against it because of the lack of waterproofness, I think that you should be very aware of this in order not to have further com[plaints.

This looked fab and I took on board other reviews before ordering it online. However, as far as I was concerned (ordered a size 12, usual size), the fit across the shoulders was too tight and then the width across the hips too wide. I also agree with the other comments about the zip being dodgy. It arrived zipped up and when I tried it on, I couldn’t get the zip to work. Finally managed it once the coat was not being worn and only the one time. So it has gone back and I did mention the zip to the assistant in store. Colour great, hood fine, warmth level good but fit not perfect and a definite query over the quality of the zip.

Love the coat but I needed a smaller size than I usually take.

Lovely looking coat, bought it for warmth. Haven’t worn it in the rain yet so can’t comment on that. Bought a smaller size after reading reviews on it and even the smaller size is very generous, even room to wear jumpers underneath it. Bought it with 20% discount which makes it even better. I would definitely recommend.

Had to return first order as one side of hem was puckered but 2nd one was fine. Not yet worn but think will be useful.

Online purchase. Ordered smaller than usual size and it was still too big. The fabric looked cheap and it was, in my opinion, really overpriced. Bought with 20% discount offer plus vouchers I had received. Not waterproof or shower proof. Read reviews prior to ordering but not sure whether others were reviewing the same coat. Returned.

I bought a brown one and loved it so much I also bought a blue one. I am pear shaped and found the fit flattering and comfortable. So glad to have found a coat I look forward to wearing :D

This coat looked good on the website so I was excited to try it on at home. I was left disappointed, it was cold to the touch, oversized and shapeless.Too long in length, too broad at the shoulders, even a smaller size was no good. I had to return it.

I would recommend this coat to anyone who is not like myself I am a fuller figure it would be just right for someone who is slimmer and not a size 24 like myself, if fitted perfectly but I didn't feel comfortable so had to return it which was a shame as the style and everything was perfect.

Really nice coat. Zip is a bit fiddly but that is the only negative about this jacket. Good value and looks great.

Purchased as a gift and was very impressed with quality and style however it was much too big for the person and too long - regretfully had to return it.

Very nice looking, plenty of pockets. Material deceptive, not waterproof. Oversized. Extremely disappointed to have to return it.

I purchased this to replace an old navy waxed jacket. Having read the reviews I decided to buy the brown one and I'm really pleased with the look and feel of the coat. Admittedly it does appear a little large, I'm a standard size 10 and it is lose, however, it has to be as I need to wear jumpers underneath on colder days. I am really pleased with the quality for the price I paid.
