Herringbone Boucle Double Breasted Coat

I am generally a size 12, can be a 14 in coats/jackets. As looked oversized I ordered a 12. The fit is good, a little big on the shoulders, but not to big. I think a size 10 would have been to snug giving no room for other layers. I love the style and material mix making it a really smart or smart casual looking coat and cosy to wear. Both the sleeve and jacket length are perfect on me and is ideal for driving in. At 5' 8" it falls just below my bottom. I purchased this when the 20% discount was on offer so all in all very happy.

Whilst the quality of the materials is superb, unfortunately the styling leaves much to be desired. I was excited when it arrived, looks very expensive & stylish. Sadly the heavyweight outer fabric combined with the heavy Borg lining just make for an extremely heavy coat that I felt swamped in. Of late winters aren’t cold enough to warrant wearing something so heavy and where would I store it? Sadly returned.

This looks so good on models but if you are not very tall it swamps you

I really like this coat for style and quality. The problem for me is that because of the thick fleece lining, when this double breasted coat is buttoned up it adds quite a lot of bulk around the middle, which I personally could do without. I don't always do my overcoats up and the coat looks great when left opened.. I am an M& S size 16, height 5ft 7.5ins and taking the various reviews into account, ordered both sizes 14 and 16. I could get away with either, but the size 14 was a better fit on the shoulders. Sleeve length was perfect. Still undecided whether to keep the size 14.

Delighted with the coat. It fits well and looks smart. It is easy to wear with trousers and skirts and is wonderfully warm - ideal for the bitter winter days. The herringbone material is striking, but sophisticated as is the 'fleece' collar.

Warm & cosy. Comfortable to wear & a good length for driving in. The lining gives extra warmth and I will get a lot of wear from it this winter. Love this item!

I wanted a warm jacket that wasn't a waterproof one. This is a short coat/jacket which is the length I wanted and it is warm. I need to wear a scarf with it as the neck is open but it is a comfortable coat.

This coat is a great buy, warm, cosy and looks really good. Looks amazing with a black sweater and trousers.

Unusually it looks lovely on the hanger but hangs very oddly once on. Not for me. First size I tried was huge so I tried 1 size down and it was very small. I think sizes are inconsistent as based on the huge one , the smaller one should have been perfect, Shame but they've gone back.

I wanted a nice warm coat for dog walking, shopping etc and I do like this coat but found the size 14 a bit big on the shoulders and overall. I will send it back and try a size 12.

Very nice jacket, with lovely snuggly lining. The whole body of the coat is lined in the furry lining, but the sleeves have normal lining. Glad about this as I think it would have felt and looked overly bulky with the sleeves lined also. I was a bit worried this coat may look very chunky on, due to the lining, as I am a size 20 but it is totally fine. The fabric seems good quality and the cut is nice, generous but not a massive fit. Also not too heavy. All in all very happy with this. Only small niggle is that the pockets are quite small. Will be a warm day to day coat. Love it.
