Excellent Bunk Bed

Yes, I recommend this
I've spent over a year looking for the right bunk bed for my two children who are 8 and 5 and having thought I'd settled on one from the big blue and yellow shop thought I'd have one last look and see if there was one out there that was a better colour and a company that offered installation too. Then I remembered M&S who had recently delivered some furniture to my parents. I got the bunk bed with a 30% offer discount, plus free delivery and assembly and for an extra fee the delivery men took away the old beds. The 2 delivery men were brilliant, very friendly and took great care not to knock doors or mark my carpets. The whole bed was up in under an hour (a job that would have take a full day) and my boys love it ! I'm very pleased with my purchase and know it'll last until my boys are grown up. The ladders are very sturdy and the space on the bottom bunk doesn't feel tight. The only negative, which isn't an issue, is that in the photos online the exposed fittings show that they are the same colour as the bed when they are just a metal finish.

I bought this while it was discounted a little. I'm so glad I did, it is lovely. The guys delivered it earlier than expected, and constructed it in no time. They done a professional job, and took all the rubbish away with them. Also they were very clean, laying down a hall mat and wearing covers on their shoes to protect the carpet, very nice pleasant guys. The bunk bed itself, is heavy, solid and chunky. It should last for many years, I've even lay down on the bottom bunk and its very spacious and solid. I'm very impressed. I also love the subtle grey colour, fits in nicely in my sons room. I like the fact you can split them into two single beds if desired. Very good value for money. The only slight criticism I could say is that if you child has socks on the ladder can be sloppy, which happened the first time my Son tried coming down from the top bunk. So I've educated my son to come down facing the bed and slowly, to avoid this. The steps are flat and deep, so are comfortable for little feet, perhaps putting strips of non slip material would be a nice addition, just makes it a little for for little ones. Overall very happy though, I'm glad I purchased these.

Very Disappointing

No, I don't recommend this
The first bed I received was returned due to damage and the replacement was even worse quality with more flaws and chip in the paintwork . I only kept the 2nd one as I was offered a good discount . Such a disappointing experience I was expecting a good quality item from m&s also I had to scrub bits of grey paint from all over my new wood floor !

Beautiful bunk beds. Really solid and sturdy. The 2 men who came to build the beds were courteous and professional and did a great job. My grandchildren are thrilled with their new beds - so I’m a happy gran! Would highly recommend these bunks.

Looks good but one criticism

Good sturdy piece of furniture and looks good in room. One criticism is that the underside of the top bunk isn’t painted. As a result the unfinished wood is quite visible - the description should advise people of this and unfortunately it makes the whole thing look cheap.
