Gingham Pencil Skirt

Very poor side seams on this check skirt and mismatched pattern on the side so both the skirt and the jacket, which I liked very much, were returned.

This is a lovely skirt and the material style etc is excellent. Very elegant The only problem is that it didn't fit well. I don't like clothes too tight on my bum so I bought a size 20 instead of 18 for that purpose, but I had to return it because it was too tight. There must have been some mix up with the size. Apart from that a really lovely skirt and a shame I had to return it.

The website says that this is lined. It is not. The material has a black backing to it, but it is not lined. It fits well, but on first wearing, to a funeral a long way away, the hem completely unravelled. Fortunately I had a hotel kit with me and I managed to catch it in a few places, which held throughout the funeral. I called M&S who were very helpful and the issue has been addressed to my satisfaction.

It was a lovely tailored skirt, after waiting a week to collect the item which needed to be ordered in stores, due to the 2 showing in stock were no where to be found. Sadly the fit was so small, there was no possibility of placing my fingers in the side pockets, let alone a hand! So I returned the Size 14 in store 2 days later to exchange for a 16, only to find the skirt had been placed in the Sale and all stock was sold out. Not for me this time.

Its's a lovely lovely skirt, fabric is thick good quality. However the sizing is small, eg I bought this in a size 16 for a little extra room on the hips (my hips don't lie lol), but sadly it felt like a 12! .it seems like they cut the material small on this skirt. I am going to get the 18 to see if that is any better.. Here's hoping!

nice skirt but once again cut on the small side !!!.Ordered two and kept the larger size for the waist measurement the hips are a bit large but wearable. On previos reviews I have asked m&s to take this in hand but nothing seems to be being corrected,do you every read these comments in the buying department,I am being tempted to go elsewhere.I might pay a little more but it will be worth it to get the correct sizing.
