Wow thought I was getting a bargain but it's well above what I expected. Makes me feel so good when I'm wearing it classy and elegant. Super

Really good fit and colours are true to photo, nice thin fabric but long sleeves will just shield from a spring breeze. Actually fits and sits on waist, as unfortunately so many others do not, no point making a size 14 dress with no hope of getting chest in and dress actually sitting as supposed to. Not washed yet but no option for that, sure it will be fine.

Bought and returned twice!

When I first bought this dress I loved it. I only wore it twice before washing it, and when it was dry I realised the top neck seam had come away and the whole top of the high neck was frayed beyond saving. I returned the dress and staff suggested I try another one as it may have been a fault with that particular dress. I waited for it to come back in stock and ordered another. As soon as I tried it on I could see the neck was badly stitched, with some sections much lower and some sticking up much higher at the top of the neck. Looked shoddy and returned the next day, not buying again this time.

This is a brilliant dress, the photos don’t really do it justice. I ordered the longer length and luckily got the last one in my size. Easy to wear and very flattering, it can be dressed up or down and I would order the other colour version but sadly it is sold out.

I wanted to like this, but....

Pattern of the dress is lovely and I really wanted to like it, but the waist and the fabric means that I got a horrid bunched look right around the middle. Also, the finish on the neck (solely being zigzag stitch and not hemmed) looks unfinished. It would have also been nice if the buttonholes had been elastic like my other M&S dress to make a lot easier to put on and remove. A few little tweaks and this could have been lovely, but sadly not for me like this.

Gorgeous print, great proper midi length, easy to wear - minimal effort for a high impact! If I had to have one slight criticism the ruched waist tends to ride up a little.... opaque tights and boots, silver sandals for a party, white trainers for the summer!

Lovely print, shame about the fit

The elastication is up around the rib cage. You can tug it down towards your waist, but it works upwards quickly leaving the front bodice loose and saggy. Sleeves could do with being a couple of inches longer too. May suit a smaller, curvier lady than me.

Love this material, colours gorgeous, but disappointed with the high ruched neck, not comfortable , I wanted to love this dress but the neck spoils it, I’m a size 16/18 and it fit nicely but ladies with a large top half don’t want high necks a flattering v-neck would be perfect , I bought the blouse in same material /colours and am keeping that as it is nicer at the neck ,sadly the dress has been returned .

I have been waiting a couple of weeks for this dress to come in my size and the smallest my two sizes was in, which is a perfect fit, so even though I have not lost my seasonal extra weight. The colours are a beautiful combination and are very flattering for this time of the year and through Spring. The regular length was lower mid calf on me, though I am just over 5'. Even if it creases you won't be able to see due to the pattern on the fabric. I am looking forward to wearing it on an informal meal out so thank you Katrina the Newcastle stylist for your usual diligence for my needs.

Saw this in store and everyone in the changing room was trying it on. Great pattern. Nice fit, comfy for work. Went for regular length, nice fabric. Get while you can.

I have had a terrible time trying to find a dress that looks good and does not hang like a sack on me, so I was not expecting great things when I ordered this online, although the reviews are mainly positive. With great trepidation I tried it on and to my surprise it fits well and looks really good! The elasticated waist does fit midway between an empire line and the waist but oddly it looks nice and feels comfortable. I ordered the long length which is mid -calf on me (5' 6"), and the dress is just full enough to cover any lumps and bumps but not so full that it is shapeless. The material is not too lightweight and hangs well, and I would be happy to dress it up for the evening, or with just a jacket for lunch/shopping. I have not washed it yet but I hope there will not be any problems.

Lovely fabric and unusual and vivid colours. This dress is a little on the big side, but lovely and LONG. Perfect for tall ladies, (I'm 5.9"). However the rushed elastic acted waist was rather high, and I found it bunched up badly when I tried it on. Luckily I'd also bought the skirt and blouse which were far more flattering and an absolutely perfect fit.

Not suitable for the curvier shape

Nice dress and loved the material pattern and colours, however the style does nothing for the curvier shape at all as makes breasts look huge (and they are not) then sticks out again over the belly making that look rather large too I will be returning this item

I saw this wonderful dress whilst entering the store today and had to have it, also the matching blouse. I tried it on and thought it was just stunning and so comfortable, fit well and could be worn for day or evening. Sure to be a best seller. It’s also an Ecco product. It’s such a lovely print.

A beautiful feminine and stylish dress. I love the print and colours of the fabric. It is very comfortable. I wish it was a little longer (2 inches) I hate midi dresses, they are so unflattering and old fashioned. Im glad this dress came in the longer length option, but still to short for my 5ft 8" frame.

I really think the colours in the fabric for this dress work well together but the elasticated waist and cuffs didn’t work for me as it made the dress feel to formal and so I’ve returned it. It came up a little on the snug side too but maybe that was the effects of the elastic and personally I’d have gone for a longer length given the style, had I kept it.

I saw this dress used in an advert alongside a newspaper article about M&S months ago and was immediately drawn to the colour and pattern. I had to have it! With help from Customer Services via Twitter, I was provided with all the info I needed to source it. As soon as it appeared online, I ordered it. With great excitement, I opened the parcel and was immediately disappointed. I'd expected it to be cotton or at least cotton mix but it's a wrinkly polyester type material. You put it on over your head and then the fastening is a couple of super fiddly buttons on back of neck. You need some help here! Once on, really not flattering. After all that, it sadly went back. Interesting to see similar review here that mentioned the shirt in the same pattern is a different material. Why produce other clothing items using the same pattern but different material?

Not for me, sadly.

I bought the blouse in this design and the colours are lovely. Sadly the material for this dress and a skirt are not the same as the blouse and are more like polyester. The buttons at the neck were fiddly and the position of the waistline strange. It left me with a blousy effect though the skirt fell well and looked good. I noticed the model on a large picture in store wore it with a purple belt below the waist but I don't think this would have sorted the amount of extra material in the top. I am 5 ft6 and the regular length size 10 was fine. I bought the lilac one in the long and it was down to my ankles. As usual, being 36 bust, M&S are generous in their sizing and I would be 12 or 14 in other shops. So two more disappointing purchases which were returned within 30 minutes.
