Embroidered Mesh Long Sleeve Midi Dress

I bought for a spring wedding. Lots of compliments. Fits really well.

Ordered this for a wedding I will be attending . Wasn't sure about it but am very pleased with it. Very well cut and comfortable and flattering fit.

I bought this dress as I have 3 weddings this year and wanted something a bit different to wear. The embroidery is really pretty and the dark navy looked fab with a pair of silver heels. I’m between a size 14 and 16 as I’m quite busty, normally in M&S I’m a 14 due to the generous sizing and the 14 did indeed fit slightly better on the body in this. However the sleeves were just a little bit too clingy in the smaller size, my arms aren’t massive but aren’t particularly toned. I ended up going for the 16 because of the sleeve issue and due to the cut it was still flattering on the body, although I would have preferred the 14 with the 16’s sleeves! Got several complements on the dress.

This dress is lovely, it just didn’t look good on my frame. I am too short to carry the style - 5’2” Would look lovely on a taller person. I wish it suited me because it’s so pretty. Returned to shop with regret.

I love navy, and I ordered this dress as it was feminine and pretty, and the pattern was pleasantly restrained. However, it was the wrong shape for my figure, and more suited to someone younger. I'm busty, and as a result, M&S dresses are far too high-waisted for me. I also much prefer dresses cut in one piece from shoulder to hem, ideally fairly straight with slits up the side, and in a proper midi length (i.e. mid calf). This dress was gathered under the waist, which is a very unflattering style unless, unlike me, you are very slender and have no tum! I wish M&S would give the precise dimensions of a garment as do many on-line retailers. I'm particularly keen to know the precise length of a dress - ideally in both inches and centimeters. Many of the dresses M&S describes as "midi" turn out to be no more than knee-length. Very irritating. Look at Navabi for an example of the detailed measurements I'd like to be given to help me buy a dress that has a chance of fitting.

Bought this for a night out as the other dresses I have in my wardrobe are sleeveless and I definitely need my arms covered now! It’s a lovely dress, very comfy to wear. I got loads of compliments about it. The only observation I would make is that I’d prefer the lining to be satin on the skirt. Good buy!!
