Egyptian Cotton 230 Thread Count Base Valance Sheet

Haven't been able to open it yet as I've been in hospital since that day.

Beautiful cotton valance fits perfectly . Is non iron but gave it just a quick iron so easy . Perfect

I was dubious if this would be suitable reading previous reviews that the drop was too long However I’m glad I took a chance The drop comes to the bottom of the base , but that’s what I wanted , so I’d say perfect fit

At last I found a valence sheet deep enough to cover my divan base. Quality is very good and good volour choices

Valance is great. Had to iron it as very creased in packaging. Quality excellent.

Very simple valance but what a nightmare to iron! As for claims that this is non iron, that’s a laugh! Came wrinkled so washed & tumble dried it and even worse wrinkles! Pretty basic valance nothing special!

M & S apparently have a policy not to refund on any bedding (unless faulty). Fine, but my criticism is the lack of detailed photos/description of this valance. The only picture and video of this valence shows one inverted pleat on one corner, (there are actually five) and what is the point of the continued video showing magically appearing cushions/pillows and a duvet? Yes, it’s 230 thread count but my purchased valence bears little resemblance to the quality/pristine fabric in the picture. Originally: 1). Baggy fit and side panels were too long and very uneven. 2). The picture also depicts a rounded corner, they were actually pointed. 3). Having all four corners fitted will cause problems down the line as the material, head to foot has shrunk on a 30% wash by 3 inches. My solution has been to totally take it apart, precisely recut and remake. Many years ago U.K. manufacturers had two standards M&S and the others. Now many things are made elsewhere so for me M&S has become one of the others! Sorry, disappointed with purchase.

Hangs lovely - bought the entire set (fitted sheet/quilt cover/pillow cases) and plan to buy a 2nd set

This item is not thick heavyweight cotton. It does not look like the picture. It’s so creased when it comes out of the packet that It really cannot be classed as a non iron item. Disappointed.
