Smart skirt

I ordered this skirt in the navy mix as a new item for work in the transition season. I feel it is just right for this. The length and style are ideal for looking smart and practical movement. The fabric is substantial enough not to need a slip worn underneath. The waist tie adds an attractive detail, but can be removed. Although it is cotton it was not creased on arrival. Excellent!

This is a really feminine skirt and excellent value. There is a lot of material which makes it feel quite luxurious. The waist nips you in neatly and it pairs nicely with a smart white shirt or a softer tee shirt top. You can dress it up or down with heels or flats. A great summer buy.

Lovely skirt in navy with tiny spot. However, even in small size just swamped me. Sadly had to return.

Looked lovely and my favourite colour, shame it was a bit big around the waist.

I returned this as I didn't like the fabric, it was quite thick, but that is only my personal, opinion other people may love it.

This would have been such a great skirt for work. It's a great style and hangs nicely. Normally I cannot wear this style as it makes me look too large (I'm a pear shape). I was happy to find this skirt but after I tried it on at home I realised it creases so much. Unfortunately it didn't look elegant anymore and I only sat in it for a couple of minutes. Shame about the fabric. Hopefully there will be a similar style soon, with an improved fabric?

I bought this as a more dressed up holiday skirt. I prefer a tie belt like this or just belt loops. Probably won't use the tie belt. I love the pockets and the A line style.

This skirt is lovely for me and I am a larger lady! Usually skirts sit on my backside and then stick out - this doesn't. The fabric is quite thick, the length on my 5'4" is below the knee but not too long and the colour a deep raspberry pink. Suitable for summer and Autumn too I think. I'm not sure I will always wear it with the tie belt. It will depend on what type of top I wear.

I bought this to wear to a birthday party. The fit is lovely and gives the appearance of a small waist. I wore this with a simple black top and black court shoes, looked very smart. I am 5ft 10 and it sat just below my knee.

Loved this skirt! Just one problem, the zip, when it reaches just below the waistband it gets stuck and one has to give it a strong tug. All of them on the rail had the same problem but the design is perfect so perhaps with use, the zip will eventually perform better. Hopefully, once washed, it will still be perfect. So, ladies, go and buy! Ps. Ignore my pen name, I am not dismayed this time.

It was a shame that I had to send the skirt back due to the fact that the zip stuck at the joining with the waistband. Very frustrating! I loved the material and the way the skirt hung, the length was perfect. I'm 5'2" and bought a size 18

Disappointing fit as although the normal size it was quite tight around the waist and unflattering over the hips. The misleading information "designed for a regular figure" should read only for those with no hips or no waist which is not a regular figure.

Good quality, suitable for work or could be dressed down for holidays or days out. Classic cut, smart. Let's have more clothes in this vein M and S>

Fits perfectly, nice structured fabric, just the right length, and hooray for pockets! It's a departure from my usual style of skirt, but I'm so pleased with it. I have the navy with the tiny dots which gives it a bit of interest, and I'm tempted to get the pink.

It's about time that M&S sold clothes that suit the rounder figure. Well done!

This skirt was disappointing, the material is quite heavy and not that suitable for sunny days. The spotted effect could hardly be seen, it just looked navy blue. Overall not impressed.

I love the look of this skirt but I find M&S skirts too big on the waist . Also it would be better to know the measured length of the skirt as "knee length" or "below knee" is not very helpful.

This skirt fits on the waist and is a nice length - probably just past the knee. Moves very nicely but the material (which feels slightly stretch) is heavy enough that it doesn't get blown about a lot! Lovely skirt to wear for work or to dress up for the evening
