Lovely trench coat

I love the style of the coat, the cotton fabric feels rich and it fits well on me. The colour also really complement my skin. But I wished it was lined so I can still wear it in colder times. The details on the coat makes it look very modern.

"longline" ?????

How can a garment described as long finish at the knee? In my view, knee length is never long, it's medium. Describing the length of garments is an ongoing issue for M&S and they should take a good long look at some of their descriptions.

Got this at a bargain price but would have paid full price. Smart for anytime and can be dressed up or down. As usual, high quality material and excellent styling. Would buy one in each colour if I could afford it.

Lovely coat, colour and fit. Such a pity that the collar was out of proportion for the coat.

I know there’s no lining but, as this is a lightweight summer coat, I don’t mind at all - great style and really useful for grey days when a cardi isn’t enough. I’m 5’6 and it’s just below knee length on me. A real bargain in the sale, too!

Lovely classic style raincoat. Just right for summer showers. Was a better quality than I expected and a real bargain in the sale. Unlined which is better than having a lining that makes you sweat. Overall a very good addition to my wardrobe.

Best things? It's longline, has a belt and the fastenings are hidden. I was sure this was unfinished when I opened the coat up ok so It's unlined (which is just daft as the material is very thin), it's also badly finished, the sleeves were not even, the collar didn't fit straight..... They'd have been better off going for less style ( removing the shoulder yoke) and either lining it or using a better quality fabric. This is poorly designed, and poorly executed.... Shocking.

Not for me

The terracotta colouring appealed to me in the images on the website, because it is a bit different. However, I would never have ordered it if I had realised that it is unlined. In addition, it was a good two inches shorter than it needed to be to cover my dresses and skirts and I am only 5ft 2ins. A long raincoat should be exactly that. . . .

Returned the item. Was too big. The material was not soft as described . Didn’t like the collar. Not the usual trench coat style.

Disappointed but needed a lightweight coat.

The trench coat is an attractive colour. BUT - Too many buttons! Could have done without buttons on pockets and less down the front + lining. My last year’s M & S raincoat was lined, had less buttons and no belt, but was more comfortable to wear and was more or less similar price to this trench coat - as I recall.

I was very disappointed and had to return same. It was a poor fit and unlined and poor value for money.

This would feel like a really good quality item were it lined. I would have been happy to pay more for this. A lined garment always feels more luxurious and better made. It is in fact a pleasing garment for the price. It could just so easily have been excellent.

This coat was lovely when belted but sat funny when opened. Would suit someone with broad square shoulder.

I just received this coat and i was really looking forward to getting it as I liked the styling. I knew it was not lined when i ordered but didnt think too much of that till i got it as it does make such a difference but will mean its a bit lighter weight for spring. I really like the styling of the belt and the pockets being buttoned. that said its hanging up just now to see if the creases will fall out as I am not wanting to look like columbo! Styling = Yes Unlined = NO :( Fabric = not sure colour = yes (biscuit) Fit (14) = yes. Will decide n next 24 hours if it stays or if i order the other one thats in store. I need a beige mac for spring/summer

This mac is too pricy for what it offers. The material wasn't good and it was very creased. The button holes were too small for the buttons. The fit was ok, but as for warmth, it's a no no. Sorry M&S but not your slipping on quality.
