Reading lamp for my mum, she's delighted with it. Had to buy LED bulb separately but worth it as it's like daylight. A bit tricky to assemble, needed to use gloves to turn the spanner to stop it digging into my hand. An attractive piece for the home and effective!

Firstly it is not easy to put together the metal components screw together ok but this is hampered enormously because of the cord which turns into knots as you tighten the unit up. The cord is fixed by a plastic washer at the bottom the only way to get the unit together was to cut the plastic washer off which was not easy. Once together the light looks ok but the light unit and shade at the top are bigger than we expected, although this might suit some people. The unit is made in China and is not top quality but we decided to keep it until we can find a better one.

Disappointing purchase

Bought 2 of these lamps, both faulty. Lampshade section faces in totally the wrong direction, not over the direction of the base. Instructions for adjustments followed but nuts under base are impossible to loosen. Awaiting response from Customer Services re solution.
