Retro Pot

This is a lovely little retro plant pot. It harks back to the sixties style and looks fab with my realistic looking cacti. The label was a tad sticky but nothing to make a noise about. It mostly peeled off leaving a small amount of tack behind. I removed this with a cotton pad sprayed with WD40 and it lifted straight off. Easy!

Love the idea but very small
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
No, I don't recommend this
All my thought, I should have looked at the actual measurements as I would not have brought them as they are very, very small. Love the idea but needs to be much bigger. Larger size out of stock but will check size and maybe order if ok. I agree with other comments about finish being poor but I liked the colour.

Spoiled by sticky labels

It is impossible to get sticky labels off item. I tried soaking in cold water but still couldn’t get them off. When I tried to rub them off the grey finish comes off and the red terracotta underneath shows through

Smaller than expected

Way smaller than expected. The legs are abit flimsy and look like they might come apart. The plant pot itself looks plasticity and cheap. Slightly disappointed for the £12ish price. Will probably return.

Legless Planters!

Ordered two of the grey planters on legs. Travelled to my nearest store to collect them, got them home and on opening the box the pots were ‘legless’! Two grey pots and no legs/ stands. Rang M&S and they advised they would lodge a complaint and would contact me. Returned the pots to store. No apology and 14 days later I am still awaiting a phone call!!!

Label issue

Having seen the other reviews I didn’t even try and take off the labels on the pot without first soaking it in warm soapy water. Still had an issue with the label pulling of the grey paint showing the orange of the pot underneath. Will be returning. Such a shame as it’s a really cool little planter.

Planter with Legs On - (and sticky labels)!

Unusual and attractive planter. Yes, it has 3 labels stuck to it, but, if like my wife, you’re a practical person, you’ll have the means to remove the sticky labels without damaging the pot, or being angry with M&S for selling you something with a sticky label on it. All you need is ‘Sticky Stuff Remover’, (honestly, that’s what it’s called), available from Robert Dyas, (Also available in other retailers), rub it on with a piece of kitchen roll, and, ‘Bob’s your uncle!’ The labels are easily removed. If a thing’s worth having at a bargain price, it’s worth making a bit of an effort to maximise its appeal. Well done M&S for dropping the price, (and publishing the not unreasonable criticism of the sticky labels). Remember, this pot has come all the way from Vietnam, so the labels need to remain intact from the jungle to the high street near you...

Well I was expecting poor quality , I am so thrilled with my stylish purchase , yes there were labels I soaked the label in warm soapy water peeled off perfectly , there was some sticky residue a little nail polish remover erased the rest without damaging the colour white vinegar would work just as well, wish I could get the larger pots but out of stock easily I would give 5 stars

Ruined by the sticky label

Spent £20 on the larger one as the style was just what I was after, got the last one in the shop. When I got home it was impossible to remove the label, it's sticky paper, it has totally ruined the planter as the outside is porous. There were three labels on it, two on the sides and one on the bottom, all left a mark. How can M&S not realise this would happen, and why are they still selling it when others have pointed it out. I would think again before buying products like this from M&S and will stick to buying pants and packaged food.

Shame about the stickers

This planter is really lovely. However the stickers on the product are not peelable. Removing them left damaged paint on the pot and sticky unsightly marks. Really disappointed this such a lovely item was ruined. Glad it was a self purchase and not a gift.

Awful label

The planter itself is fab, but the large white label and price label are impossible to remove. I’ve damaged the pot trying to remove them. M&S please use easy peelable labels in future

I bought this in the larger style.. love it, but the sticker.... I peeled off as much as I could then rubbed it with a cloth and soapy water...unfortunately scrubbed off the grey down to the terracotta.. can only show the good side now.. but still love it.

I Was so gutted that I had to return this pot because the sticker which I had to remove left a square patch and damaged the pot. The price sticker also left a mark.

This is a great little planter, I hope you bring out a larger version! My only criticism would be the stickers - they were ridiculously hard to remove, I have slightly damaged the pot trying to get mine off. This really needs to be looked at.
