Great size desk and good working height. Solid to work on. Finish doesn’t seem to be quite a good as the first one I bought but it still looks good

My desk arrived in a wet box, with no legs and I was told to assemble myself.

Bought this desk because so pleased with the other Sonoma furniture I have. Love the quality, love the drop down front to enable computer storage. Well designed desk and looks good.

I bought a few items of Sonoma a couple of years ago and I was happy with it, so I bought it again - this desk, a small bedside table and trunk. The quality has deteriorated markedly. The surface of these products has a groove cut into the wood, where the groove is you can see plywood (it does say in the description it's solid wood, but it isn't). Why would you want a groove cutting into something if there is plywood underneath? The previous stuff I bought wasn't like this at all so I complained. The answer was "that's what it is supposed to be like". Also, it doesn't come ready assembled, as said in the description. So, M&S is now going down the low-quality route. As I say, don't buy it. Look in John Lewis.

Beautiful solid compact piece of furniture which was exactly what I had been looking for. Delivery guys courteous and good humoured.

I purchased the desk during the 30% off promotion. The product description stated that the desk would be delivered assembled. In reality I discovered that it required 2 people to assemble the desk. Unfortunately I live on my own and it took over 3 hours to put together. The drawer does not fit as it should and the soft close function does not work. On the plus side it’s a handsome and sturdy piece of furniture, I am just disappointed that the description of it arriving assembled was misrepresented

Very solid, utilitarian design but note: a) gap below the drop-fronted 'draw' is only 625 mm so will not suit everyone. The draw is intended only for a key board according to the sticker inside. b) legs are made of ill-matched staves and fillets which are very evident on the top surface (as the top of legs are not hidden) and sides. Despite the description, these are NOT natural characteristics of oak - just the way it has been made from 'engineered timber'. Reasonable value with the 20% reduction but not one I'd have bought 'in the flesh' rather than on-line.

This is well worth the money. Looks good. Great size drawer. Super. I've actually ordered some more stuff to match xx

Very pleased with this desk which i have now had for several years.Well made from good quality wood and looks better and better through the passage of time as the ageing process takes effect.

My husband loves his new desk. Moving house so had to downsize from his bigger desk but is very happy with the new one. The wood is beautiful and very well made. He does use the keyboard extension.

This desk is a great addition to the range. Sleek, unfussy and a good sized working area. The full width drawer is so useful for keeping everything neatly out of sight. At first I intended to use it for the keyboard but I find it more useful as a drawer. Excellent quality built to last. Love it.

I was very pleased with the desk as it was bought to accommodate a new computer yet still provide a good working area. It does this perfectly. The desk is stylish and well finished. I like the drawer which runs the width of the desk and can be used for stationery or for the keyboard. I was concerned that my office chair with arms might not fit to the desk but no problems in this area. It was an expensive item for a work desk but sometimes you need to pay for quality.
