Polka Dot Tie Waist Midi Dress

Was pleased to receive this dress having debated for a couple of weeks over whether or not to buy it. When I first tried it on I was disappointed as it felt small and I thought would not be any good. However, I left it a couple of days and then tried it again, this time with proper underwear (slip) and shoes. I was more pleased with it on this trying and so think I will keep it as it is a smart style and a good colour (navy and white - always a good staple to have in the wardrobe). I thought it felt tight when I first tried it on but now realised that this is more the style of the dress than anything. Although I prefer the relaxed fit style of dresses that M & S do so well these days, I like the length of this so will keep it.

I struggled to find a dress that was elegant but not formal. This dress is lovely & flattering I wish M & S did more dresses like this one

Good fit, length and looks very smart, can dress up or down dependant on the occasion.

Very happy with spotted tea dress fits and feels lovely - good long length - side zip fastening - had lots of compliments - Wore to a 1940s event with red kitten heels!

This dress looked perfect. Great length,no 3/4 length sleeves and navy, I couldn’t go wrong. The waist was so high it was under my bust, made more obvious with a tied belt. The sleeves were rather too puffy, the top had a centre seam where the pattern didn’t match at all. It did have rather attractive covered buttons which were a nice touch, but even they couldn’t rescue the dress from returning to the store.

I love this dress. As a person who likes a vintage feel to their clothes, this dress fits the bill. I would wear this dress to work or out on a summers evening. It has 2 slits In the front, so probably would wear with a wedge or flat rather than long boots.

Beautiful dress, lovely material and gorgeous sleeves. Unfortunately had to return as despite sizing up, the dress was ridiculously small around the stomach and hip area, yet big on the chest. I have a curvy hourglass figure and can’t recommend it for this body shape. Shame, as the coat that I ordered alongside this dress (in the same size) fit fine.

Very disappointed. The dress looked good in the picture, but on reflection the model was wearing a jacket hiding the sleeves which were the problem. They were much too full, gathered into loose elastic which allowed them to ride up and spoil the proportions of the dress. A narrow cuff might have been preferable. Have returned the garment.

Unfortunately, while the dress was a good fit, the lining in the top of the dress was too big and caused lumps across the shoulders. I have returned the dress.

Timeless dress. Great for a wedding, garden party or with biker jacket and boots or trainers. I like the style and love that the sleeves are down to near elbow. Love the colour and the spots and the slits. The neckline can be unbuttoned folded inward to create a small vee. I'm size 8 and 5'4" small but curvy, sleeves give good balance. It's a bit longer but, that makes it more elegant. It skims figure. I've looked at it for awhile and pleased I ordered it. Great for Summer.

I order this dress on line as it wasn't available in store for me to try it on. I had a £5 off a dress offer on Sparks so I thought I would treat myself. I ordered my usual size 12. When the dress came I tried it on, putting it over my head before I realised it had a zip in the side which was done up. It went on easily, it was so big and nearly down to my ankles. It was hanging off of my shoulders it was so wide across the top., I would have had to practically re make it to get it to fit. I took it back, but there aren't any in the store to try on in a smaller size, so I don't know if I got one that was wrongly sized, It looked better in the photo .

A timeless design that seems well made, fits perfectly and would suit a number of occasions. Thank you M&S for begining to go back to what you used to do so well.
