Hugely impressed with this nail polish. I bought it as I was sick of my nails damaging and getting discoloured from cheap polish with harsh chemicals. I used it with the Butter base and top coat duo and 5 days in it’s still looking good with no scratches or chips. The shade I bought is Yummy Mummy which is a lovely natural shade which lends a touch of class to any outfit. I’m an office worker so not too manual a job and can easily see this lasting a week if not longer. I’m also convinced it’s not as strong smelling during application as other polishes possibly due to lack of harsh chemicals.

Nail disappointment

No, I don't recommend this
I purchased butter London nail varnish after reading a review in the paper which said that it would help in strengthening nails it is awful it has a Matt finish which soon scratches I picked the light shade as my nails are quite short at the moment it wasn’t a good look an absolute waste of money.

I saw this nail polish on the web site it was just what I was looking for . On the web site the colour came up as lilac with a shot in it perfect for holidays . When it arrived it was brown not at all what I expected .Very disappointing .

Reasonable staying power. Consistancy just right thickness. Lovely dense colours. Brush quite broad, holds the polish well. Curved shape makes application easy and professional looking. I feel its price is a little high.

Arrived promptly, safely packaged, at the time stated. Lovely colour, handy shaped bottle and good quality varnish. I found it easy to spread on and the covering so good that I only needed one layer - it lasted a good long time as well. Very pleased with this purchase.

Nail Varnish with less Chemicals

Like the idea of nail varnish with less chemicals etc. Also, great that you do not need base and top coat. So far I have only used this on my fingernails and not tried on toenails yet for longevity. Overall a good nail varnish, opaque and lasts a few days before obvious signs of wear around the edges. Not sure if would look good up to 10 days though and the high shine only lasts a couple of days. Not sure why M&S cannot use the original colour names as on the Butter London site so you have to cross reference before making a selection.

Excellent nail polish. Be warned that the shade name is actually "Mum's the Word", not "Nude Pink" as described on the website.

This product was featured in one of your 'Editors Pick' slots emails. It said that this polish was as hard wearing as gel polish available at a proffessional salon. Unfortunately this is not the case I did not find it any better than a regular polish.
