Linen Rich Double Button Front Midi Dress

Seen and liked online before but when I saw in sale decided to buy. Good quality material and feel it will wash well. Fits well and hangs nicely with lining but as others have reviewed the belt slides loose (I’ll sew a little velcro to keep in position, worth it at sale price)

The material is good quality and cool, with being linen. Very smart and the length was perfect. However the double breasted style just wasn’t me so I had to return. Everything was perfect just not for me.

I bought this dress for my holidays and have yet to use it. The cotton is very stiff and heavy but, having said that, I do like the style and colour of the dress very much. Another disappointment is, I will have to take it in under the arms, as it is too loose and doesn't fit so well.

Very smart dress. A great weight which helps to keep the shape. It’s quite long which suits me as I’m so tall. The belt loops were too high, so I removed them. Agree with others that the belt slips, so I’ve just tucked the loose end inside the belt. Looks fine. Fabulous dress which will get many outings this summer. Wish I could have bought the lilac colour too, but it’s sold out.

Good quality, great fit , I usually am between 12/14, I ordered a size 14 and it fit perfect , can’t wait to go out and wear this dress, seeing I am over 65 a little t shirt looks better underneath.

The buckle was broken on arrival. To long so did not reorder

Love everything about this dress apart from the belt which cannot secured to hold firm and therefore slips loose and spoils the hang of the dress

Quality, style and fit of this dress is fantastic. Good quality material, and perfect fit. I am so happy with this dress, it looks amazing. I am 5ft 7ins so the length is perfect for me. It ticks all the boxes. Well done to M & S.

I chose the 16 as I'm a pear shape but I could have had the 14 as I liked it! The colour is good and I liked the way it's lined! The belt goes round too far as my waist isn't that large! Still like it. I prefer to have larger than tighter! Haven't washed as was on a hanger. And looks good hanging up!

I got so excited when I saw this dress online. Ordered it in the lilac. Colour and material fantastic. Unlike other reviewers I had no issue with the length as I am tall but have to say that the style of dress would not flatter smaller women. There is no fastening for the belt buckle (what is all that about?) so the belt slips open all the time. The armholes are quite wide. Overall the idea is there but the material needs to be much lighter for summer and the belt needs a buckle that can actually be used as a buckle and keep the belt fastened

This is a very well made and excellent quality dress in twill cotton fabric in a neutral colour and a very flattering style. It has been cut to fit a tall lady, and will have to be altered. The bodice of the dress is too long, but can be altered easily on the shoulder seam adjusting proportionately between front and back as required. Having done that it remains to be seen how much the dress needs to be shortened in length. I intend to wear mine midi length, and with a light shirt or top under.

I really like this dress, but I have only given it four stars as in my opinion it has been made in the wrong material. It is very heavy, nothing like linen, it should have been made with a thinner type of cloth, more for spring than summer. It looks smart and good for work, but can also be dressed down. Worth the money quite versatile.
