Absolutely beautiful, great quality boots which fit perfectly. I am normally Size 5 but decided, based on other reviews, that I would order 5.5 due to width of my feet. 5.5 fit perfectly. Very pleased - boots which can be worn every day not necessarily just for hiking !

Too big

I’m normally a size 5, but after reading the reviews I ordered half a size down, but they were still way too big. Will have to return and reorder a smaller size, would suggest going one size down. Otherwise a nice looking quality made boot and well worth the price.

I think these boots are very well made and more expensive looking than they are, especially with the 30% offer on in December. I either take a size 5.5 or a 6 in footwear, depending on the style, so I ordered both sizes. I don’t have a narrow foot and the 5.5 fitted perfectly width wise but were slightly long in length. To rectify this I bought some insoles and now they fit perfectly. So comfortable and warm and look stylish with turned up straight jeans.

I read all the reviews online before purchasing. I’m normally a size 5 and wasn’t too sure what size to opt for based on previous reviews. I went with my normal size 5. The boots arrived and they fit perfectly. They are well made and look amazing. Everyone has commented positively and they couldn’t believe the price. Well done M&S!!!

Great boots but narrow
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
I bought these boots in two sizes, 5 1/2 and 6. I like the style and quality. Unfortunately they are rather narrow in the foot for me even with thin socks. I have narrow heels but average width feet so I could not keep them. I usually take size 6 (continental 39) but felt the 5 1/2 would have been long enough.

Nice looking Boots but really Bad Fitting

I bought both pairs in black and brown online. Unfortunately I had to return as the black pair caused terrible bruising around my leg where the top of the boot sits. They really hurt as I tried to walk in them as I could feel them banging against my skin which caused the swelling and bruising. Didn't make any difference if I loosened or tightened the laces. I also noticed that the side of the heel was split. They also felt narrow on the feet and I do not have wide feet. Shame I did like the style of them. For the money they cost I expect something better. What has happened to your sizing and quality control Marks and Spencers?

Bought black in the sale size 6. I usually buy 5 1/2 in MS boots and shoes inspite of being a 6. These are a bit roomy but not too big and good for socks. They look great and on trend. I have thin ankles and these are a snug fit - no gaping which I usually get. VERY PLEASED WITH THEM

Great boots for the urban walker

I bought these boots mainly for the style but also for their robust sole and ideal lace up. They are great for walking around the town, parks etc and they secure the heel/ankle very well. I've had Timberlands in the past but far prefer these.

M & S footwear tends to be too wide or voluminous on my narrow-ish feet but, being lace-ups means I can adjust these to a perfect fit. Not sure how good they would be on a wider foot. They are lovely quality nubuck leather, and considering they are sturdy boots, quite neat!

Different colours different sizes

I purchased both the black and tan boots in my usual size 5. The black boots fitted perfectly but I felt the tan boots were slightly too big and as they come in half sizes, ordered a 4 1/2 which is definitely a better fit. Mind you this is not a surprise when it comes to M&S sizing these days. The fit option only gives you the choice of fits or size too big, so because of only one colour of the boots being a half size too big just went with the true fit option. The boots are well cushioned at the ankle and have a very rugged sole. The tan boots have a suede upper and due to this and their light colour will probably need a bit more looking after than the black boots which are nubuck. Am sure will get a lot of wear out of each pair.
