I wanted a drainer that was unobtrusive and this fits the bill perfectly. I can flip up the arms when I have plates to drain and put them down when I don’t. It is good quality and I am very happy with this product

Useful item to put on a stone draining area
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
No, I don't recommend this
I bought this to place upon a stone draining area so that the crockery was not going to chip on the stone. The drainage channel is not in a convenient place for the shape of our draining area and therefore isn’t as effective as I hoped it would be. The pop-up struts to hold plates are not ideally designed and large plates can roll off them. Overall, as something to catch the drips and direct them into the area of the sink yes it works. Also something to put crockery on rather than straight onto a stone surface. Design could be more sophisticated.

Happy with this, though it could perhaps do with very slightly longer (or adjustable) legs: not all the water drains off as it is slightly tilted backwards due to the height of our sink edging. However, it has added valuable draining space and looks smart. Glad that the plate racks fold down as we don't always need these and it helps if we wanted to pack it away.

I ordered this as I didn't want a big draining board and also wanted it to look stylish. This didn't disappoint. It looks good and works well.

Such a clever idea, I was using a Joseph Joseph rubber mat, but this is so much better.

Compact & Smart
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
Nice and compact, looks smart and durable. The flip-up part could be a little smoother, it’s a little clunky, but that’s a minor quibble. Purchased as a gift for someone as a space saving alternative and can be stowed away beneath the sink when not in use. I would definitely recommend for someone short on worktop space.

Stylish Joseph Drainer

We've just moved into a brand new house and I didn't want a big ugly drainer by my sink! This is just perfect for what I need - it holds half a dozen plates and same number of mugs or glasses; you can pour fresh water over to rinse the suds off and it drains straight into the sink. If you have lots of washing up this isn't a good choice but for washing up a few things at a time this is ideal.
