Great concept, poor design

I bought these because I had been looking for a long time for a shoe that would stay on thanks to elasticated parts, yet not crush my toes (especially not squeezing them into a point) AND provide support for my lower back by having a decent heel. All boxes ticked, here! However, the open heel is extremely uncomfortable and digs into the tendon; same issue at the front where the top of the toes gets 'cut' (NOT literally!). Shame that the manufacturers couldn't go that little bit further and make the perfect shoe...

Just picked these up from store and am over the moon with them . I have been looking for this style of footwear for ages and cant believe I got them in m&s sale. I ordered a 4.5 and a 5 as I'm usually a 5 due to having high insteap and broad feet. The 4.5 were perfect and not tight across the foot so I would recommend them if you usually have a problem with broad feet. Look great on and will go great with trousers, skirts and dresses. Cant wait to wear them out.

Lovely modern style, a bit different for M&S. I ordered half a size down from my usual size, as my normal size had sold out in the sale, but they were just slightly too tight on my slim feet. They are a narrow fitting shoe boot and the fabric does not have much stretch in it, and this item would definitely not be suitable for a wider fitting foot. I have had to return them but I will be re-ordering in my normal size. Such a great style would be fabulous in leather or suede.
