Garnet red with a full bouquet of poached berries, truffles and leather, followed by a velvety palate of deep complexity.
Poderi Luigi Einaudi was founded in 1897 when 23-year-old Luigi Einaudi purchased the San Giacomo estate in the heart of Piedmont. The estate now has 111 acres of vines across 12 different estates, with significant vineyards across Barolo’s villages. This wine is made from premium Nebbiolo grapes sourced from the village of Cuneo – home to Poderi’s oldest Barolo’s vines. The grapes grow on a high ridge with a southeastern aspect, offering the perfect balance between sunny exposure and cooling hillside mists. To develop the wine ready for release, it was aged for 30 months in oak then stored in bottle to evolve further.
