Deep in the south of France, huddled at the foot of Mount Caroux, just 40 kilometres from the coast, these picturesque vineyards have been home to France’s wild and wonderful Mediterranean grapes for generations. Here, Grenache, Roussane and Vermentino emerge in all their richly spicy, scented glory. Winemaker Simon Whittle skilfully blends the trio, ageing the wine in new French oak barrels for thee months to give extra smoothness.
