A richly fruity, elegant dry Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. This premium white displays a fine balance between ripe gooseberry and guava flavours along with a refreshing, crisp, slightly grassy finish.
This is a fine example of New Zealand's famed Sauvignon Blanc, and interestingly comes from the region of Nelson on the south island, neighbour to the more famous Marlborough area but which enjoys even more sunshine and a sheltered, moderate climate. Nelson's white wines are becoming well known for their wonderful elegance and pure fruit flavours. The wines of Nelson tend to be handcrafted in fairly small, family run wineries, and we are delighted that this wine was made for us by Chris Seifried of the Seifried winery. It is unoaked. This wine has been sealed with a screw cap, our aim to use the most suitable closure for each wine.

If you like a good Sauvignon Blanc look no further. It's every bit as tasty as Cloudy Bay at a fraction of the cost. I will definitely be re-ordering this one.

extremely disappointing
No, I don't recommend this
This wine is in the mid to upper price bracket, comes from a renowned wine estate but classic NZ Sauvignon Blanc, it is not. It tastes like a cheap French white, bottled in the UK; aggressive, herby and with absolutely no gooseberry. I can only assume that this 2013 vintage is now too old and should no longer be on the shelves. If there had been a 2014 vintage, I would have taken it but none of the major M&S stores in our area were stocking the latest vintage prior to Christmas.

I bought this as it was a cheaper NZ Sav than the other option on the shelf - it definitely shows. Not as nice as the £10+ a bottle ones. Very tart and dry, and not as smooth compared to others. I have tasted many of these (in Marlborough having done a wine tour in NZ). Will not buy again.

This is what NZ SB used to be like. Nose is a little light but great intensity of tart apple and gooseberry on the palate. Also has good balance - palate hasn't tired of it by the end of the bottle.

I used to drive past this vineyard on the way to work when we lived in NZ. Amazing that we can buy this wine more cheaply here than in NZ. Buyers market. A super wine that tastes like an NZ sauv blanc really should. Quality stuff !!
