About this bottle: Produced in the Valpantena Valley of Italy’s Valpolicella region. This gorgeous oak aged red is made in the ripasso style, where a classic Valpolicella wine is re-fermented, or re-passed, over the sun-dried skins of a rich Amarone wine gives the vibrant Valpolicella extra layers of depth and body. Drinking well now and for several years to come.

Purpley red in colour, this wine has an intensely perfumed aroma and flavour of plums with a rich, smoky, vanilla taste on the finish.

About this bottle: This is produced in the Abruzzo region in the Pescara Province of Italy. Abruzzo enjoys the warm temperatures of Central Italy and yet has the cooling influence of the Adriatic Sea close to which the vineyards are located. It is made by renowned female 'flying' winemaker Gaetane Carron, who has made wine all over the world. Careful ageing in French oak barrels for 6 months results in the smooth complex nature of the wine.

About this bottle: This premium Italian red was made exclusively from Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes, which were harveseted from vineyards overlooking the picturesque town of San Gimignano. The wine spent 12 months in French oak to lend texture and roundness. To preserve quality, this wine has been minimally treated and may throw a harmless sediment, which will not impair quality.

About this bottle: The black Perricone grape has a long history in western Sicily. M&S Winemaker Jeneve Williams travelled there and was inspired by the locals proud devotion to its graceful tannins, dash of herbal complexity and long finish that complements the robust flavours of the local food.
