Spend less time in the kitchen and more time enjoying the festivities with our range of prepared veggies, in store from 18 December. Discover emperor carrots with Jersey butter and a honey and orange glaze, as well as sliced brussels sprouts with Italian pancetta, chestnuts and a shallot and maple-cured bacon butter, plus lots more in store.
Preparing your own sides? You’ll find M&S Select Farms festive veg in store from 20-24 December. Choose from bags of tender sprouts, perfect-for-roasting potatoes, sweet carrots and nutty parsnips, all for only 40p each.
Want to take your side-dish game up a gear? Add a pinch of M&S magic to your root veggies with chef Chris Baber’s clever idea.
Heat your oven to 200ºC/180ºC fan/gas mark 6. In a large bowl, add 500g carrot wedges and 500g parsnip wedges, then pour in 4 tbsp olive oil and sprinkle over 4 tbsp M&S magic sprinkle. Mix well to make sure everything’s nicely coated. Then take a large baking tray, lay out the veggies and cover them with foil (this creates steam, to help soften them). Roast for 20 minutes, then remove the foil, add a drizzle of honey, toss the veggies well and cook for another 20-25 minutes, until golden. Serve immediately.
