Cheeseburger quesadillas

Easy, quick and lots of fun, combine two great dishes into one with our marvellously moreish recipe. All the flavours of your favourite burger are sandwiched between toasted tortillas – the whole dish is then finished off with our special burger dipping sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 500g M&S mince beef 5% fat
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 1tbsp M&S ketchup
  • 1tbsp M&S posh dog mustard
  • 1tsp garlic granules
  • M&S crinkle cut gherkin burger pickles
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1tbsp butter
  • 250g M&S grated cheddar and mozzarella
  • 8 M&S soft tortilla wraps
  • M&S special burger sauce, for dipping or drizzling
  • For the wedge salad

  • 1 iceberg lettuce, quartered
  • M&S red and gold Santini tomatoes, quartered
  • M&S sea salt and black pepper croutons
  • M&S buttermilk ranch dressing, for drizzling

Method

  1. Heat a large frying pan over a medium-high heat.
  2. Add the oil to the pan and fry the onions until they turn translucent.
  3. Add the beef mince, season well and fry for 5-8 minutes until cooked through. Drain any excess liquid from the meat.
  4. Add the garlic granules, ketchup and mustard to the pan and mix well, then turn off the heat.
  5. In a separate frying pan, heat a small amount of butter until melted.
  6. Place a flour tortilla in the pan, add the mince mixture across the tortilla, top with cheese and pickles (if desired!) and top with another tortilla.
  7. Let it cook for around 3 minutes, before carefully flipping and cooking on the other side for around 3 minutes, or until everything has melted together and the tortilla is looking golden.
  8. Cut into quarters to serve. Repeat the process with the other tortillas.
  9. You can keep them warm in the oven – set to around 120°C fan.
